Historic Downtown Carriage House

This upstairs apartment is in a classic looking 1920's stone carriage house in a prime location in center of historic downtown Flagstaff. The property is entirely enclosed with a quaint lighted stone and cedar wall with free off-street parking, stone fire pit and sitting terrace, trees, seasonal flowers and vines, and grassy lawn (Please Note: they all lose their foliage during winter months. Yes, some guests have asked why the landscape color is gone in the winter time ... :). You'll be within just a few minutes walking distance to dozens of shops, restaurants, nightlife, and public transportation. It's warm, cozy, secluded, accessible - you’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the location, and the lighted enclosed exterior and fire-pit stone terrace. This is a perfect place for all types of travelers and activities.

This malapai stone house is a perfect mix of classic and modern, with warm wood interiors and modern updates, including hydronically heated wood floors and a freshly remodeled bathroom. The kitchen is original with a few aesthetic improvements, and the queen bed is new and comfortable. In addition, the entire house is on a charcoal filtration water system.

Short, but Sweet

My husband and I only stayed a couple of nights but we enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very nice and quiet with beautiful touches of antique furniture. The neighborhood was quiet and the garden beautiful. It was convenient and close to downtown. Jac was very friendly and hospitality.

Charming, downtown lication

Jac’s apt is cozy and comfortable. The modernized bathroom is excellent. We cooked dinner two nights in the kitchen which was not modernized, and the lack of height over the counters due to the low cabinets was the only challenge since there was not much working space. Otherwise we enjoyed the space and loved the quiet proximity to downtown.

Relax and recharge!

Fabulous stay while in Flagstaff…Jac was extremely communicative, thorough upon check-in; we were about mid-journey on our road trip from MN to the Grand Canyon, and this property was so inviting and relaxing, and the weather was chilly, so we took advantage and hunkered down for the night! Lots of space and the full kitchen is awesome! Even though we didn’t venture out, the property is very close to anything and everything in downtown Flag, you’re just a short walk from restaurants and shopping excursions, and short drives to what Flag has to offer in terms of hiking trails, scenic drives, etc. I used to live in AZ, so to come back as a “tourist”, this was a great place to feel back at home.

The apartment was beautiful and in a perfect location for enjoying downtown Flagstaff. I would have loved to hear more about the history of the building when Jac was showing it to us but we were tired after a long drive and didn’t ask. I do regret that. Jac’s place is nicely set up for any length of stay. He’s decorated with attractive local and historical works and equipped the kitchen perfectly for travelers who tire of having to eat out. Amazing Experience

My boyfriend and I came to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon and stayed at this amazing place. It's so cozy and homey I definitely recommend for any couple looking for a place to stay for a good price.
