“We had a fantastic stay at the Secluded Chalet near Ohiopyle and Seven Springs. Our friends had rented the Bear Rocks community center for a get-together, so we decided to stay nearby—and it ended up being the perfect choice. We’ve actually been considering moving to the Bear Rocks area, so this gave us a great feel for what it’s like to spend time there.The chalet itself is tucked away among beautiful mountain laurels, giving it a quiet, private feel that really lets you unwind. “What a family paradise. We could have used another week!This family is developing such a beautiful piece of land and it is clear they have made all of their top-shelf, thoughtful choices with love. Some debris from before their acquisition remains beneath the house and on the trails, but I am certain this will be dealt with. Our children, ages 24-8, all had an absolute ball. “The house had everything we needed. The kitchen is well maintained and equipped with plenty of space. The nearby dining table can fit anywhere from 4 to 8 people and is solidly built. The huge family room has a large and comfortable sectional sofa, with great natural light and a very large wall mounted TV. The bedrooms are a good size. The beds are on the soft side but still comfortable. The central air works well. This is a great place. The only challenge is the parking on a somewhat steep……

“Overall, this was a good stay in a great location near the Pittsburgh waterfront, with plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby.The space had some nice features—we especially loved the wet room, which was a unique and enjoyable touch. The appliances were older but still worked fine, so no real issues there.One thing to note is that the couch was on the smaller side and positioned facing the TV, which may not be the most comfortable setup for everyone.All in all, a solid place to stay if……

“All I can say is the pictures are deceiving. The property manager is a saint and that communication was wonderful. Unfortunately it wasn't as clean as what I was hoping for, and it seemed pretty ran down. The people upstairs were very loud and sounded like they were fighting. We could not find a remote to the TV no matter where we looked which was difficult because we had two younger children with us that needed some kind of entertainment on our downtimeand to distract from the noise upstairs.……

“Nice cozy place, clean rooms , snacks , few items in the fridge just as described keep up with communication, even willing to make it kid friendly. Better than any hotels we stayed in. Less than 10 from good restaurants. ”

“Our stay went very well. Place is spacious and very clean, convenient location for us to visit family. Comfortable. But could use another towel bar in bathroom, and a grab bar. Also another potholder in kitchen. ”
