Fantastic place! Clean, attractive. This has been recently renovated and is great. In the 60’s, this was Feil’s soda fountain and motel. Went to the fountain when I was in middle school and high school.

I stayed in Daphne, a cute single room. Perfect for just me and one night. Very clean, plenty spacious. My only complaint was that it was very bright in the room all-night due to lights outside & curtains that werent black out.

What great little cabins. Old and a little warn, but very clean, cozy and quiet. As a female visiting the area by myself, felt very safe. Beautiful hiking 2 blocks away. Staff was very helpful and available.

Near town, thus walkable, for its many options. Hiking and parks nearby. Each cottage is appointed well in terms of simple usage, not overdone. 2nd visit here, where we met some out of town friends, & everything worked out fine. Great coffee for their provided coffeemaker.

Piety Hill Cottages is a cute adorable place. Our room had been refurbished and it was a nice place to stay while visiting Nevada City. Only about .6 miles from downtown making it a good walk to start your day. Thank you Piety!

Stayed once before, 7 years ago. Liked it and came back for more. A pleasant location, approx. .75 of a mile from central Nevada City. Comfortable 60's auto court cottages. Quiet, clean, with easy check in, without an employee. Ample instructions insured easy check-in. Unit was clean with functioning devices (I.E. fridge, microwave, television and remote, coffee maker and lighting. Only coplaints are toilet seat needed tightening, and no running water in kitchen. Signs alleged a future kitchen improvement and additional bedroom. Overall, quite happy with accomodations and wiuld stay again.

Great place to stay.

Rooms were clean. It is an older establishment so i wasnt expecting much but it is clean with amenities the same as a high end hotel. They have a courtyard with table and chairs and that is kept clean. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was nice. The kitchenette was great. Close to town.

The first two nights we stayed in Cedar cabin which is large and renovated - super comfortable, loved the simple modern decor. The couch wasn't comfortable though. The bed was super comfy. I made a booking mistake and the staff was able to accommodate us in one of their unrenovated cabins - very cozy and had everything we needed. It was run down but clean and comfortable. We LOVED our stay at Piety cottages and the staff are great.

Beautiful little courtyard for shade and sun. Property exactly as described. Quiet area. Carports for each cottage. Short drive to restaurants/shopping. Easy check in/out. Bed was very comfortable except a little high for me after hip surgery. Great communication with host. We chose this area as it was near the venue we were attending.

Great room, tiny bathroom.

Room was great for what we needed. Bed was very comfortable with good linens. Bathroom was extremely tiny to the point where you had to sit sideways on the toilet because there isn't enough leg room. It didn't really bother us though, although a larger person could have some difficulty with it.

This property is one of a kind! By far one of the cleanest places I have stayed and so welcoming. We had a mix up with our reservations so we only got to stay 1 night instead of 2, in the Daphne cottage but it was wonderful. I wouldn’t recommend walking into town from the cottages, it’s a bit of a walk, down hill going but up coming. But a very short drive, we drove into town twice and it was worth it. The manager or owner, not sure which, but she was a delight, helpful from the second I realized something was wrong with our reservation and even more so to help fix the problem! Even noticed our room was still rather cold around 10pm and brought us a space heater…it was a cold evening. I’ll definitely be looking forward to staying here again and they’re dog friendly if you need it!

This is an old style motor court inn that’s been lovingly updated by new younger owners. Each cottage has a little kitchenette that has everything you need (except a toaster) They package good coffee instead of those miserable packets or pods…and mini half and half’s. The mini split HVAC noise is a bit loud but there’s a ceiling fan and good cross ventilation. The bed is perfect. We look forward to trying some of the new rooms as they modernize.
