"My kids loved being around the animals at the property and waking up to the sounds of cows and horses. We would have loved a tour of the property on one of the tractor trailers included in the stay. The cows and horses were super friendly and calm. The shared kitchen wasn’t the cleanest as it’s shared with some of the station hands. "We absolutely loved our stay at the Plaza Hotel in Cairns! The location was fantastic — Muddies was right across the street and had really good food, and we were within easy walking distance of just about everything. We had a beautiful water view from our balcony, and one of our favorite surprises was being able to watch the flying foxes come in every evening — there were thousands of them! It was such a unique experience and something we looked forward to each night. The building also has a very nice laundry room, which was extremely convenient for travelers. The pier where you catch the boats to the Outer Reef is about a 15-minute walk away, making it easy to get out for reef excursions. Overall, we loved the location, the views, the convenience, and the little extras that made our stay special. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Cairns!"
