The staff at the hotel were all lovely people which made our stay something special. Our only negative comment is the TV in the room is way too small and the remote was very worn. The breakfast and dinner quality & options were excellent, prices were all good and service at all levels was top rate. Thank you to all the staff! We would highly recommend this hotel

Charming old hotel with modern amenities. We were upgraded to the Victorian Suite which was a large room with vanity area and sitting area. The front desk was very accommodating and they answered all my texts prior to arrival.

Great hotel and location, breakfast was good. We had a problem with a leaky window and were immediately upgraded to the beautiful honeymoon suite. The staff were all exceptional!!! So friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately had to cut our stay a day late due to unforeseen circumstances but were refunded for the extra night that we couldn’t stay. A wedding was on and it was awesome to see the bagpiper and the wedding guests all having a great time.

The hotel is in a cool, interesting building. The staff is very friendly. Older rooms, expensive breakfast option. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

Stayed one night on business. Room clean and tidy, good sized walk in shower. Down side only 2 single sockets, one for the television other one had to use for Kettle and charging phone and tablet. Not very practical

Lovely welcome, large clean well appointed room. Decor is fresh but respectful of the age of the building. Staff invariably friendly and helpful. My only glitch was a somewhat fitful supply of hot food at the breakfast.

Good but tired hotel now

Sadly this hotel needs an update all round, the restaurant downstairs was great but the food wasn’t exactly great and to the description on the menu. Rooms are quite small, too warm, and Beds aren’t great. There isn’t many options in the Greenock area so this Hotel will always do well but a major refurb would help.

The staff was so very kind from the moment we checked in til the very end. They were helpful in giving suggestions, directions and just overall kindness. The restaurant was delicious as well (the sticky toffee pudding is a must try!) The bar downstairs is great as well. I would suggest getting the breakfast included in your stay as it is convenient since there aren’t many cafes/restaurants open that early around. The hotel has a lot of a historic charm about it yet still well maintained and clean. We always came back after a day out to a clean suite.
