Perfect for what we needed. All the amenities and nature all in one. We enjoyed the sauna, the outdoor games, walking around outside and just relaxing by the outdoor fire pits (even when not having a fire). Relaxing and beautiful. What a blessing. Thanks!

Enjoyed Rex very much. Comfortable, stylish, well located. Rooms small, but lay out incorporated everything we needed. It rained so didn't use the fire pits in the back yard

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful two night stay at The Rex! I loved the stylish design aesthetic of the hotel and the attention to detail. We were there for the eclipse, and we appreciated that they left us a welcome gift with eclipse glasses and a cute little reusable tote. Each room has their own fire pit, and we made s’mores each night. We hiked allover Promised Land State Park which was accessible on-site at The Rex. We plan to go back!

Was absolutely amazing!!! We wanted to upgrade room and were able to within minutes! The sauna was amazing!!! The trails right off the property were beautiful! I think we were the only people on property for our honeymoon so it was quiet which was a plus! AND THE BATHROOM HAD HEATED FLOORS. JUST AMAZING. Would rate 100 stars if I could.

Modern type cabins in the woods!

Beautiful property! Wanted to go back to Promised Land as I went there as a child. Loved this space! Next time I’ll get a bigger unit as this was part of a longer trip so I had too much stuff to fit in this 175 sq. Ft. Room. I needed a few more hooks around the room. Fire pits are great for warmth & I cooked over it too! Hiking trails are close by and their sauna is now open too! Owners are very communicative and I would go back!!

We liked it, hopefully you will to.

A little slice of heaven, next door to the Promised Land. We were in the area to visit Pa. State Parks and stayed here two nights. My wife found Rex Hotel online and she really relies on the reviews of past guests. With this receiving so many positive ratings we went for it. The no contact check-in and out was new for us, but no issues arose at all. In fact, everything went so smoothly it would be nice if others used this method. As far as Rex calling this a hotel, it is more of a motel, but on a luxury scale. I felt like we were staying in an upscale country resort. Our room was #5 and upon arrival, everything was very clean. Even though we never met the owners or anyone for that matter on site, we never felt isolated. We would receive text messages occasionally reminding us it was time to start a fire in our very own outdoor fire ring, using the free fire wood, matches and starter. I have stayed in some pretty fancy hotels all over the country, but the temperature control in this room is the best. We were able to keep the room at the perfect temperature without having to constantly change it. I don't know if I'll get back to this part of Pa. again, but if I do we will be staying here at The Rex Hotel.

Modern clean room.

When we entered the room, it had a fresh clean smell. Rooms are bright, and you have your own personal space for a fire in the evening. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was the road noise. I was in room 6, which is connected to a few other rooms, other cabins on the property may be quieter. But after 7:30pm it gets quiet in the area, so for sleeping it was good for us. All in all, I had a nice experience here and it’s super close to the state park.

The Rex is certainly an Instagram-ready property and I'd love to leave a great review. However, I cannot recommend booking through Hotels.com for this property. I booked a room/rate and was contacted via text that "we are a dog friendly property, if you are traveling with a four-legged friend please let us know so we can make a note on your reservation." Other properties typically ask this to make sure the room has dog bowls or treats, and to request the advertised pet fee. Instead, I was texted back that the room I booked was not pet friendly and I needed to upgrade rooms for an undisclosed charge. There was no option for a more expensive pet-friendly room on Hotels.com when I booked. Additionally, I could not cancel the original reservation because it was made through Hotels.com. As a result, I agreed to the upgrade charge. Upon my arrival, there was no one present at the property (arrived at 6PM), and I had no code or room assignment. There is no service at the parking lot, so that added to the issue. I later learned the "upgraded" room was essentially the same room (had a couch rather than a bar). It was a disappointing customer experience.

What an amazing stay!
