Me and the kids had a wonderful time at the cabin. Cozy and warm, taught my kids how to make a fire. We did our first snowboard lesson which was only minutes away. Definitely coming back!!
I enjoyed having all amenities of home to include washer and dryer. I'd suggest to bring your own clothes soap and if you enjoy cooking, bring spices and cooking oil/spray. I also brought my own coffee.
It does get cold in the cabin but we just wore an extra layer while we were there.
I'll definitely stay here again, it was perfect and very relaxing.
This cabin is awesome! My husband and I could not get over how beautifully this cabin has been constructed. The management company does a good job keeping it clean, too! The location is amazing.....you have a forest out every window which makes you feel like you're remote, but the town of Greer is only 3 minutes away! You can hear elk at sundown and sunrise....so cool. Deer walk through the backyard! Kitchen is stocked well, master bed is very comfy, TV is great, grill is clean....what more do you need? It was a perfect place to celebrate our 35th Anniversary!!

The property was in a great location. Close enough to everything, but still far enough away to have more privacy. It was a short drive to the center of greer or local fishing areas. The cabin was a perfect size for 4 people. One downside was the beds were hard as rocks and we had trouble controlling the wall heaters. The room downstairs was either really hot or cold, no happy medium, thats with the door open to the bedroom. Also, loved the covered patio so we could sit out and listen to the rain.
My family and I enjoyed most of our stay at this cozy rustic cabin. We enjoyed having space for the kids to play outside. There were plenty of linens, pillows, and kitchen/ cookware. We appreciate the on-demand water heater. The staff knew we were arriving close to office closing time. So, they made checking in very convenient for us. Someone was kind enough to come plow the road and driveway for us, so we didn't have to shovel.I hate to share cons, but these may help future guests:* No dishwasher. Bring your own drying rack because the one under the sink is rusty and dirty.* No one is available to answer your evening messages til the next day when they get to the office. * Be sure to bring wood in case the electricity goes out during a snow storm like it did for us. There is no generator.* Bring flashlights and lanterns. We were in the dark one night. There were no emergency light sources in the cabin.* The thermostat is controlled remotely and is all over the place. The highs during our stay were in the 30s, but the thermostat randomly changed from 63-78 throughout our stay. We were either cold or having to step outside to cool off. It made sleep very difficult.* Bring your own paper towels, toilet paper, and dish soap. There are some provided but they are extremely poor quality.* Bring mattress toppers if you don't want an extremely firm bed. The twin has the best mattress in the cabin. I was more comfortable on the futons in the living room than the queen/ full.
Quick trip to see if this property is suitable for us over the Christmas Holiday. Sheets had stains on them. We didn’t get any dish or bath wash clothes. The trash liners were too small. We didn’t know how to control the heater. No directions for the big unit. We used the registers the most. Overall attention to detail lacking. That said, it is so cute and loved. The appliances, TV, Bose speaker, WiFi, bed comfort, the porch, dishes, pots pans. swings, fireplace, privacy all very very nice. Thank you for your kindness in allowing guest.
The Chateau Relaxeau is a beautiful, well appointed cabin. It's easily accessed and is in a very quiet area. My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much.
The only reasons we couldn't give 5 stars is the cabin wasn't as clean as we'd have liked. The carpets and Futon Sofas had a lot of dog hair on them which stuck to our clothes. The inside of the front-load washing machine has a black residue around the seal from not being properly dried after use and the inside of the refrigerator wasn't very clean. Also, the interior door hinges squeak very loudly. They could use some attention.
The cabin is very well equipped with new pots & pans, a good selection of kitchen knives, the entertainment system works great as does the wifi. The master bedroom bed is quite comfortable. Overall, we were very happy and highly recommend this cabin.
Our family loves Greer! Our tradition is to visit this town once a year after Christmas for a family ski trip. Even though this cabin only had one bedroom there was plenty of room for everyone with the loft, extra beds, pull-out couches, and a second bathroom. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook for a family. This is the first time I did not need to bring my own kitchen stuff. Loved this cabin!
A quiet and cozy place at a great price in the forest!
The location was just wonderful! My husband and I enjoyed, sitting on the porch drinking our coffees in the mornings and hot cocoa with the kids in the evening. There are neighbors nearby but far enough to not even notice them. Very quiet area. The cabin itself was quaint, the beds were comfortable. Great new full size refrigerator with ice maker. A fee pans and towels might need replacing. Loved that we had a bath and a half. Great that it’s a pet friendly. My only negative is that it could have been cleaner. It needs a major cleaning and better vacuuming to remove all the dog hairs from the rugs. We did bring our dog with us but he is a 13 pounds non shedding dog. Again, loved everything about the area and the great cabin and perfect size and at a great price too, just cozy! Will plan to stay there again! Thank you for having this great place!
We spent 8 nights in this beautiful Cabin. It's about 1 mile from the River reservoir and great fishing. The home is equipped with everything a family needs. It even has a washer and dryer so you don't have to take dirty clothes home. It's a bit older cabin so it had a few quirks, but nothing to bad. We would absolutely come back and stay again.
If you're looking for quiet and cozy, this cabin is for you. Very well equipped and in a great location. Everything was as or better than expected. We'll be back!
The cabin was a real delight to stay in. Had essentially everything we needed for a week’s stay. Loved the true log cabin architecture and design. Very warm, comforting feel to our stay. Gave us relatively close access to several days of hiking, biking and kayaking. The cabin offered a great place to come back to and relax in this beautiful mountain country, especially on the expansive front porch. We intend to bring our whole family back for another visit.

The property was private with a few cabins around it. There was plenty of room for our family of four with room to spare. Had to shovel some snow when we arrived, not a big deal. We arrived late on the arrival date but communication was great!! Only issues were the main bedroom only has a queen bed so a little small. The space heater in that room did not work. We left the door open and used a small portable space heater from upstairs and it was comfortable. Gas stove igniters did not work on some of the burners so had to use matches. Bring cooking oil for the cast iron skillets. Saw a bunch of elk grazing in the mornings. Everything else was great!! Beautiful views. I would definitely rent this property again!!
