I reserved this room through Expedia and when I tried to cancel my reservation Expedia sent me to the hotel. The hotel sent me back to Expedia. And I could not cancel the reservation it caused me to spend money for two nights in a hotel while I stayed at a nearby cleaner Hotel. And we checked the room. Periodically throughout the two days I was paying for it and on every visit we found roaches roaming the room. I don't normally give bad reviews but this was bad. Expedia refused to cancel and then because the hotel should and the hotel used refused to cancel the reservation because it was made through Expedia. Stay away from the Oyo in Grenada Mississippi

Room was old and smelled of weed. Bathroom shower was old and stained. Ac/heat unit did not work.

The room was in poor condition. The bedding was stained, the refrigerator was filthy, there were holes in the ceiling and despite the air from the air conditioner feeling cool when you stood in front of it the room temperature kept rising. The bed was uncomfortable and lumpy and there was a used cotton ball underneath the pillow. I can’t believe they charged $100 for this location. Under different circumstances, I would have gone to another hotel. Thankfully, because I worked an evening event, I only spent a few hours there. I couldn’t sleep comfortably and I couldn’t wait to leave. If we hadn’t been in a tornado watch, I would have just left after work. I can’t speak for the staff, I didn’t have any interaction. The best I can say was the shower was clean.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. This time our door was very difficult to open it. Our key cards worked fine it was like there was a malfunction in the door scan system. I couldn’t open the door at all and it took my husband several attempts to open the door. The gentleman from the front desk had to assist us 2 times.

First issue false advertising on line the pictures on line stated they had a lobby and they didn’t. It smell like mildew You couldn’t go inside to check in you had to be outside like a motel The room could’ve been cleaner the toilet had rust stains on it You couldn’t look through the peep hole of the door it was covered up Is advertising a hotel and it’s actually a motel really bad false advertising if I decide to come back to Mississippi, I will not choose this place to stay

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Hotel is very outdated. The shower head was covered with mold and the water didn't get hot . The wifi was absolutely awful. Television did not work and when I mentioned it didn't the remote "disappeared ". The bed was hard and the sheets were dirty. The owners/slash front desk couple were friendly but they emphasized that there's NO refund policy, my guess is because they know that the hotels has seen better days.Drinks at the front desk are $2 , if you have to stay please stop at the convenience store beforehand.

Nightmare Experience

The stay was a nightmare! Blood and urine stains on mattress, black mold on and in refrigerator, hole in bathtub and covered with tape, toilet leaking which caused me to slip amd fall, microwave not clean. There was a damn car on a jack at the front door of the reception area. The beautiful pictures of the swimming pool are all lies. The pool is roped off and has a huge blue tarp covering it due to not being in service. Manager/owner told me to go up the street if I wanted a better room when I complained! Photos on website are highly misleading. If I'm not issued a refund I'm taking every and all legal actions I ha e at my disposal. I have photos to backup everything I mentioned.
