This brand new one bedroom bungalow is a contemporary dwelling where modern design is softened with natural accents of rattan and wood to create a relaxing, aesthetic atmosphere.

With the Paparoa track huts booked for over a year in advance, the bungalow’s location in the heart of Blackball is ideal for a bright and early start to the Great Walk, a recharge after a gruelling trek, or even as a base if you are just in town to explore the unique history of Blackball.
The space
Experience the spacious super-king sized bed or if a second bed is required, the lounge suite also pulls out, allowing a maximum of four people to sleep per night.
After a wander around the humble township of Blackball, the heat pump and Netflix will welcome you for a cozy night in this extremely well thought out space.

A slice of modern style

The property was all it was advertised. A great place with modern appliances and presentation. Sitting on the deck having drinks and nibbles looking at the hills and enjoying the quiet and setting sun was idyllic. So handy to everything Blackball has to offer.

What a delightful surprise to walk into this cute VRBO. It is in a tiny village off the beaten track. We just needed a place to stay overnight before we headed to Christchurch. It exceeded our expectations and we so enjoyed our stay. The place is spotless, modern, and comfy. We highly recommend this VRBO.

A really nice quite town with an old fashioned pub. The locals were extremely helpful. Great history and walking around town. Poor communication from the owner and had ask for local help to get a key into the accommodation. Otherwise a great place to stay and the house was awesome.

Such a lovely, clean and modern wee house. We both loved staying there the weekend, and the rain on the roof was a bonus. Loved how tidy and accommodating it was. Really enjoyed the eco shower and hand wash products too! Definitely will try to stay there again next time we're in blackball!

Absolutely amazing gem of a spot, very modern and clean. Surprised me how flash it was considering the very reasonable price. Really enjoyed our stay, we will book again! Great dining only a couple of minutes walk away and the famous blackball butchery too.

Clean, tidy and warm unit. Easy to find and access. Well equipped kitchen. Walking distance to local cafe / bars. Stayed here to start our trip on the Paparoa Trail and did not disappoint. Was only a 10 min drive to the start of the trail.

Das Haus ist toll eingerichtet. Alles war sauber und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Leider hatten wir keinen Schlüsselcode bekommen, weshalb wir vor verschlossener Tür standen. Die Dorfbewohner konnten uns jedoch helfen und die Eigentümer haben sich entschuldigt. Wäre das nicht gewesen, hätten wir 5 Sterne vergeben.

Lovely modern bungalow in central Blackball

A beautiful, spotlessly clean unit with quality appliances and lovely Ecostore bathroom products. Centrally located, only a 2-minute walk to the Blackball salami shop! It was the perfect place for a relaxing night before walking the Paparoa Track.

Fabulous, warm accommodation in the heart of blackball.

A spacious one bedroom unit close to the general store, 08 cafe and the Hilton. Fabulous communication with the owner. We had an amazing time with our 1 year old son in this small town.
