Soak in the quiet curled up on the couch in front of a fire or lounging on the spacious, private deck with outdoor shower.
The Space:
****PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING****
Please read this description thoroughly to ensure our cabin is the right fit for your traveling style and expectations. This is a homey, unpolished cabin in the woods. Those who love peace and quiet and rustic getaways from modernity will LOVE our place, don't mind the stair workout to get there, and keep coming back. Please read on for important things of note:
The cabin is on a quarter-acre of wooded land on a hill. There are about 80 steps from the parking area to the cabin, so it is definitely not wheelchair accessible and may be difficult for the elderly or those with knee problems. The privacy on the hill is worth the trek!
Dogs and children are welcome, but the property is steep and not entirely fenced in, so you will need to keep a close eye on them.
Due to its lack of central heating and insulation, the Treehouse will not be available for rent in December and January. We will rent in November, February, and March with the caveat that it may rain and could be chilly, but if you want it, you got it.
Guest Access:
Built in the 1930s as a summer getaway, the cabin was beautifully crafted from local redwood trees with a number of delightful details that make it unique. The lower level has a cozy bedroom with a built-in full-size bed. The bathroom has a tiled floor and a redwood shower. Exit the lower level to go up the stairs to the upper level, which has a spacious open living, dining and kitchen area. The living area has a convertible sofa bed in front of a wood stove. Sit on the stool at the bar while your loved one prepares a meal in the kitchen equipped with refrigerator, stove, oven, utensils, and essential condiments. Enjoy your meal at the dining room table while looking out over the trees from the giant picture windows.
The Neighborhood:
Take a short stroll to the neighborhood beach at Summer Crossing, or explore the many wineries, restaurants, hiking trails and antique shops in the surrounding area.
Other Things to Note:
The water is fine to drink and use for boiling, cooking, etc. but due to the nature of the hard water, some may find the taste different from drinking water.
Interaction with Guests:
This is a self check-in property, so we won't meet you, but we do have a property manager on call if anything comes up.
