The inn was okay and the staff were nice. Couldn’t sleep though which is the point of a hotel. Had a road facing room and could hear every single car as it sped by. Torture. The shower was also maybe the worst I’ve had in the last 5 years of constant travel. Felt like someone held a pinched hose over me and there was no water pressure at off peak shower times.

Room was clean, warm and spacious. Bed was cosy. Really enjoyed the meal - service was fab - and there was a great choice of keg and cask ales. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed overnight to attend the Whitby Goth Fest on the way down from Whitley Bay. The hotel staff were great, the restaurant and bar were very good, food was excellent. Room was absolutely fine, no complaints.

Good base for visiting the east coast.

The hotel is well situated for visiting Whitby and Saltburn, pleasant bar and dining area. The food was excellent a d reasonable price as well. Well worth a visit and we shall certainly be calling again.

The staff here are really nice and helpful. The place is comfortable and well located on the road but still quiet for a decent night sleep. The place is looking a bit run down, housekeeping do a great job (clean bed, surfaces, bathroom, towels) but it could do with a deep clean (stains on walls, clean the carpets etc) but its a very reasonable price
