Other than the brusque reception at check-in, there weren’t too many issues. BUT there was one major problem. The towels were moldy. I doubt they use dryers to dry their towels because every single towel, including all daily replacements, had a very strong mildew odor embedded in them. That made them useless and I found myself in the absurd position of drying my whole body off with the in-room hair dryer after every shower. Other than that, the room was clean and water bottles were provided every day. The sheets and pillows were mostly odor-free. The cleaning ladies are nice and quickly clean rooms as soon as you vacate them for the day. The amenities provided in the rooms are welcome including a small mini-fridge and a small sauna (which I never used). The location is the best part of the hotel. Within quick walking distance of most bus line terminuses, it’s great to grab the bus to Bulguksa temple at the first stop and get a seat for the 50 min ride when the bus fills up with passengers crammed in like sardines by the second stop. It’s also a reasonable walk to Jungang Market. Everything with the property is fine aside from the moldy towels. If you stay here, DEFINITELY pack your own.
