Good hôtel….

breakfast is the weak point of the hotel….the staff in anoraks and hoods with masks is not very welcoming…the synthetic drinks (orange!!!!) are undrinkable….the banana fruits are given with parsimonious and almost rotten….the time range, end of service at 9 a.m., is too small otherwise the perfect room and the staff have a friendly welcome

Great for sunsets

Tallest building in town with a great rooftop bar and pool for sunsets. Despite a few negative reviews on here, I found it fine. Getting a little dated, but perfectly acceptable. Great location in the middle of the strip. You can probably get cheaper or a nicer place but overall this will be a tough combo to beat.

Pretty good. Could have been better

First of all the staff and breakfast were amazing. The hiking trip organised by the hotel was awesome. The location is really good. The downsides there were lots of bugs in my room. I killed them all and i thought that was the end of it then on the last day upon checking out there was a huge cockroach on the floor, i presume their mother. The water pressure for the hot water didnt seem to exist at times and you had to run it for a while to make it work.

Don’t judge a property by its pictures. The property offered early check in which was nice. The property is across from a four year construction project. Not their fault but also not mentioned in write ups. Huge eye sore. Noisy. Work was late into the night. No beach access so had to walk or shuttle .4 miles to closest beach. Roof top pool needed shocking and vacuuming, algae was present. The bathroom shower had mold growing in it and needs a good scrubbing. The staff were pleasant and helpful when asked questions. Towels were readily supplied as no beach towels available. Although rooms were non smoking the hall way was clearly not and reeked of smoke. For the price compared to other properties in the area, this certainly was not a value for the money. Breakfast was included and plentiful.

Mouldy bedsheets and pillow cover. No housekeeping after hours - the night porter had to change sheets. The construction is happening in front and not a nice view to see. Can be noisy sometimes. The receptionist told us to wait for 5 minutes to check minibar but never got back to us so waited longer until I asked.

Paradise is not a paradise

Based on the rating we had a higher expectation. Hospitality is not sincere, limited English and hotel was focused on high volume instead of cusomized service. During our stay of 3 nights we had about 50 plus schoolchildren making music untill 3 at night and running over the corridors smashing doors. Between 6 and 7 cleaning started making noise and at 8am waking you up allready asking to clean room. The breakfast area felt like Eurodisney. To summarize, more a hostal then a hotel. When you arrive they help you with lugage, when you leave it's up to yourself. I suggest they change their name, as Paradise is not a fit for purpose.

Buenas instalaciones, buena atencion del personal, desayuno más justo en relacion a otros hoteles contratados en Vietnam de similar categoría, aunque correcto, muy buen servicio para la contratacion de actividades, habitacion correcta y muy buena ubicación. Las vistas desde la piscina y la habitación, excepcionales. Como aspecto a mejorar, las escaleras de acceso, excesivas y pendientes, sin rampa, ni ascensor. El sistema de cierre por muelle de la habitación se bloqueaba, llegando a quedar en una ocasion la puerta de la habitación abierta, con el consiguiente susto al regreso a la misma, si bien la respuesta del hotel fue muy adecuada, comprobandose por imagenes de la camara de seguridad la causa de dicha situación, descartandose cualquier intromisión ajena.

Zimmer mit Aussicht

Wenn man ein Zimmer mit Aussicht hat (die meisten) dann ist es ein tolles Hotel. Einen besseren Ausblick aus einem Hotelzimmer kann man kaum haben. Allgemein hat es etwas Ostblocknostalgisches. Steckdosen sind z. B. rar, dafür funktionieren sie sporadisch. Die Sitzgelegenheiten im Zimmer sind ergonomisch eine Katastrophe. Das Bett ist sehr gut. Das Frühstück ist wirklich schlecht (billiger geht es qualitativ nicht). Das Personal ist dermaßen unambitioniert, dass der Vergleich mit dem Ostblock zulässig ist. Die Lage quasi mitten im Ort ist sehr gut.

In the heart of Cat Ba

The hotel is right on the sea front and was fine for a short stay. The roof top pool was very small and operated oddly restrictive hours, so not much of an amenity. Our room had a splendid view of the ocean and was cleaned daily.

Highly Recommend

Excellent hotel in a very nice town. Good location to explore and not as hectic as the big cities in Vietnam or Thailand. his hotel has great views and facilities. Just be aware that norther Vietnam is colder in the winter months than youmight expect.

The hotel has great views of the bay and that is its best feature. The rooms are spacious and bathroom modern. There are some automated settings on the aircon that turns it into heating after a certain hour, but can be switched to ventilation instead (but not cooling). The breakfast is very very limited so ended up going elsewhere as there are plenty of options nearby. The staff is really nice and friendly but they speak very little english/french so had to resource to Google translate. Cleanliness could be improved. Also the rooms have no soundproofing so if you are a light sleeper you would want to bring earplugs! The pool is open only few hours a day, but the rooftop/bar is accessible all the time.

Wonderful 6 Nights!

We stayed at the hotel for 6 days. We were upgraded to a beautiful king room with a view of the bay. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The service by the staff was very good, especially Autumn. She was super helpful with booking tours, transportation, and anything else we needed. The roof top pool and bar were a nice perk and since we were there in the off season we basically had it to ourselves! The only thing I would say that needs improvement would be the breakfast. The food all tasted fine but there was no variety, just the same couple of things each morning. Other than that, we loved the hotel!
