My wife and I spent our honeymoon on Hawai'i, and this was our third stop. The place is located on a cliff with nice views of the ocean. Overall the estate must have been very luxurious at some point of time, but it appears like it hasn't been very well maintained in the last few years. It is located some 20 minutes off Hilo, which is also the closest place to find a grocery store, restaurant or bar.
We arrived in the afternoon around 4 PM and were welcomed by a full nude photo shoot in the garden. I am sure some people would pay extra for this (probably unintended) service.
Overall the place is well equipped, has a large shared kitchen with anything one might need and each apartment has its own set of microwave, fridge and coffee maker. The apartment we stayed in was huge (two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two balconies) and could have comfortably fit two families.
As an additional easter egg our last night was 'overbooked' and we had to move to another place in 'downtown' Hilo for the last night. But overall the property manager is a very nice chap.
