The family-friendly vacation apartments “Am Römerlager” are located in a two-family home near downtown Haltern am See. The LWL Roman Museum, well worth a visit, is about 0.2 km away; the historic old town is about 1 km away; and the Haltern am See train station is about 0.7 km away. From the train station, you have excellent connections to the Münsterland region and the Ruhr area.
Various stores for daily necessities are located in the immediate vicinity of the vacation apartments. The Annaberg/Hohe Mark recreational area is about 1 km away on foot. The shore of the Haltern Reservoir is about 4 km away. The beautiful paths around the lake are perfect for hiking and biking. In the summer, the beach is the perfect place to take a dip in the cool water. Right near the vacation apartments is the starting point for the Münsterland bike path network, as well as the themed routes: the 100 Castles Route, the Hohe Mark Nature Park Route, and the Roman-Lippe Route. Signposted bike paths lead in all directions and offer countless opportunities for extended bike tours. The Hohe Mark Nature Park and the picturesque Westruper Heide are perfect for hiking and Nordic walking.

The approx. 70 square meters, family-friendly, non-smoking apartment “Obelix” (1st floor) has two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed, and the other has twin beds measuring 0.90 x 2 m; this bedroom is open to the attic and accessible via a steep staircase. The attic can be used as a play area. The living room, with its cozy couch, features a flat-screen TV (satellite/cable). The separate, fully equipped kitchen with a cozy dining area includes, among other things, a stove, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator with a freezer compartment. From the kitchen, a few steps lead down to the bedroom with the double bed. The bathroom, which has natural light, features a shower and a toilet. A parking space is available free of charge at the house. The bicycle storage area and the garden with outdoor furniture are available for use by both vacation apartments.
Guests are asked to clean the apartment before checking out. If the apartment is not cleaned before checkout, guests will be charged an additional cleaning fee of 50 EUR. Guests are liable for any damage they cause and must reimburse the owner for such damage.
