Have stayed in this hotel a few times in the past with no issues . Unfortunately this stay didn’t meet expectations. The tv didn’t work, 1 pillow provided with no extras available in room The bed was strangely super low to the ground The peep hole in back of door was stuffed with toilet paper. Not saying we wouldn’t stay here again but the hotel needs to put some effort to making it a descent place to stay.

If you can afford to stay somewhere else, please go elsewhere. I think the last time any money was spent on the place was somewhere back in the 60's. I had a room where the window was rusted part way open and could be closed, the carpets are threadbare and the bathroom sink had a tap that just flopped about and was fixed into the bowl. I'm actually surprised the health inspectors haven't been in to shut it down or issued a repair/improvement notice at least. The fridge did work and the sheets were clean, but the is the only redeeming thing that can be said for the place.

The bed was very comfy and I had such a good sleep. The outside noise was honestly minimal and did not bother me at all. Yes the place is older but everything was big. Loads of space and facilities were good. Shower had good pressure. My car was in the car park and was very safe Price was good and so close to all the shops and garden place.

This is a very run-down vintage hotel, whose heritage values are overshadowed by years of neglect. We were struck by musty carpets, flaking plaster and paint, and shredded curtain linigs. The shower over the bath is a danger for elderly clients getting in and out. The room seemed too large for the heat pump to warm adequately. Internal calls to reception were never answered or returned. Parking on the hotel's premises is a real problem. While this is advertised as available, on arrival we were told that it is only "first-come, first-served", although the hotel did not appear at all busy that evening. We followed the manager's advice about where and when to park on the street, and received a $70 parking ticket as a result. Comparing our stay with similarly priced accommodation on our journey, we got much better value for a similar price from backpacker hostels and motels.

Stayed one night. Don't include the "buffet breakfast" in reservation. There isn't one. Instead we were offered a $20something granola from a 24/7 café down the road. It was excessively sweet with minimal granola. Our room was rather grand and very clean with comfortable bed and great shower. The reception and back entrance are dirty and plain. Staff very clueless- esp ones contacted over phone. $35 for cot.
