Over priced & underwhelmed

The breakfast that was included in the £75 a night price tag was non existent. Had to contact hosts by phone for some toast on 2nd day, gave up after that. Room was poorly ventilated & either too hot or too cold. Difficult to see keyholder combination lock to get in and out at night.

I needed accommodation at very short notice and quite late in the evening. This presented no problem for my delightful hosts and I was warmly welcomed.

Well icuiped room and bathroom, no problems in sharing bedroom, only for two rooms. Lovely garden you may use. Very good restaurant 10 Min walk away

Great B&B with service of top class

The room and house was clean, there was a bus station just nearby and the hosts were absolutely lovely and helpful with whatever questions I had. The hosts had really good knowledge about the vicinity and gave accurate directions and explanations which really helped me make the most out of the trip.

This was my first time staying at a bnb and it was great. Gill and Peter were more than accommodating and hospitable. Food was great and my stay was very comfortable. Would recommend.

I booked the bnb as it was close enough to my short temporary work placement. Jill and Pete were absolutely brilliant, very hospitable and lovely. The place is spotless and the breakfast is great. Highly recommended. Al the best guys Al

Owners take good care of you.

Peter and Gill took good care of us in their lovely home. Gill had gone out of her way to ensure that there was some gluten free bread and cereal for me at breakfast. The only thing to be aware of is that, though the bedrooms are on the first floor, the shared bathroom is on the ground floor - not very convenient in the night if you have mobility issues.

Really nice people

Very nice people run this bnb in a convenient quiet spot and good travel location by the m11. Were very accommodating when I had to check in very late at night due to evening work meetings.

What fantastic value for money! A beautiful room in a beautiful house. I was made to feel incredibly welcome and had a lovely complimentary breakfast. I very much enjoyed my stay and would definetely go back! Thank you for having me!

"Shared bathroom"downstairs.Unwelcoming, rude host

After 2 flights and 3 train journeys from Gatwick plus taxi to get to the location, I arrived earlier than the 5pm stated on the booking, but hoping to leave my bags. No mobile no on website so I was unable to send an SMS. Nobody was there, so a kind neighbour left a message to let the hosts know I had arrived. A friend fetched me and brought me back after 5pm as requested. The hostess greeted me with a reproach that she "had to" rebook her clinic appointment as she had come back when she read the friends message, but if she had bothered to call back she would have been told that I was OK and coming back later. When she opened tge door ti me when I arrived tge second time, she was accusatory to me, unwelcoming and downright rude. The "shared bathroom" is a toilet and shower downstairs, although there was one right opposite my bedroom, but which I was told is her "private" bathroom, although it is completely separate and shut off from the hosts' bedroom. I was extremely stiff and sore from 30 hours of travel and I was permitted to use this bathroom to have a bath the first night, and which I cleaned after me, but the following morning I was asked not to use this one any more as I should go downstairs in future. I am 66 years old and have severe arthritis in my hip and the response to that was I was free to leave as it clearly is not a suitable accommodation for me. Agreed. So I cancelled the remaining 3 days and I most definitely shall not return.

Nice place

We booked a room in Potters House the before our flight. The traffic on the motorways was horrible and we arrived quite late but the owners were waiting for us and made us very welcome throughout our stay. Very nice place and very nice people.

Ontvangst is erg goed, auto kan op de oprit staan en erg gastvrij. in de buurt een postkantoor, kapper, supermarkt, soort mini sigaren/sigaretten winkel met van alles en nog wat een apotheek en afhaal chinees en fish and chips winkel.

Greeted by a pleasant gentleman and overall had a pleasant stay. However, the next day we had 2 telephone calls off who I assumed was the gentleman's wife accusing us of nicking her shampoo!! I was not only insulted by this but also fuming. Will NOT stay here again as I will not tolerate being called a thief.

Great place to stay for business: excellent value!

My second stay -- for work. Great value for money, and a very pleasant stay. The shared-bathroom factor isn't really an issue -- it's a nicely done-out as the bedroom and dining-room, and as Potter's House is only small, managing it with the other guest on this occasion was no problem (I was the only guest, on the first occasion).

Fantastic and well worth giving a try

This is a fantastic place to stay with fantastic hosts. I could not find any faults at all which is unusual for me as I am an ex hotelier. I will be back..
