「The room was large, bright and clean with the added bonus of a fan. Staff were polite and helpful.
Evening meal was superb.
If we are in Harpenden again we will definitely stay here again.」

「Lovely dinner and staff. Breakfast is sent service continental style, so no cooked options which was a shame after the dinner.
It's a 14th century pub, so lots of character and in a small village.」

「The bed linen was very dirty, and there was a lot of noise in the middle of the night—apparently someone was cleaning—so it wasn't a pleasant experience.」

「I would advise other travellers to be cautious, especially if arriving late or making a last-minute booking. I should also mention that I was told I would not be offered breakfast because I had booked last minute or arrived late. My experience with the reception staff made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Regardless of the price paid for a room, every guest should be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not stay here again.」

「lovely little find. Room was lovely, beautifully decorated. Fridge and aircon which are invaluable when travelling with work.
Room was a little small, the others looked larger so would book one of these next time.
Only improvement would be remove the shower curtains and replace with glass, no one likes a shower curtain!!」
