"This hotel was very clean, and the check-in process (keyless) was super easy. The staff were helpful and accommodating. The location in Balsam Lake is perfect for hiking the Ice Age Trail as many trailheads are within 15-20 minutes. We loved the larger refrigerator with freezer, as we were able to bring more food with us for four days of hiking! Although opening the bathroom window did provide some ventilation for taking a shower, it would be nice to install exhaust fans in the bathrooms. Otherwise the window air conditioner was perfectly adequate to keep the room temperature comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back to hike some more!!"

"Regular coffee wasn’t available. Went to McDonald’s next door for coffee. Only pkt of regular in room broke open when opening. Couldn’t use it. Only decaffeinated coffee in breakfast room and in room."

"I would give 100 stars if I could! This place is beautiful! The cabin was so clean and they supplied everything we needed and things we didn't think of bringing. This is a private cabins with a pier surrounded by beautiful trees. We rented the pontoon a couple times which was so much fun. The peaceful nature sounds while sitting on the patio was amazing. We were welcomed by a butterfly and had a deer pass by too. This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway. The owners are so friendly and were available if we needed anything which we didn't because the place was perfect!"

"First time stay. Excellent Review. Heather and Kelly were excellent at their jobs and very helpful. I stayed 5 nights - all were quiet, clean and restful. Golf Course next door offered drinks and food. Would stay there every time I go back to Barron, WI"

"I guess I could never stay in a place like this. Was not clean at all. Any outside areas are not usable.They are so filthy dirty. We arrived there and looked inside and said we are not staying here. What a way to start a weekend. I could say a lot more , but i'm not gonna. I'm just Saying it was pretty bad."
