I stayed in a single room facing the city. The room and bathroom was a good size for one person, however furnishings were dated and the en-suite could do with better ventilation. The whole building could do with some updating. During my stay, they had wifi issues so there was no wifi and data connection in my room wasn't great- however there are plenty of lovely cafes nearby with free wifi. Room keys were also used to enter the main building, so I had to lock my bags up to feel more secure. Location was good, right by the sea and close to town centre, with the Old Town being 10min walk away. It was fine for a short stay.

Perfect location for a short stay. Close to theatre if going to an event at the pier or white Rock theatre. Room very clean. Plugs on both sides of bed, tea and coffee well stocked and lots of hangers. Bed could do with a mattress topper though!

Stayed over for business, parking is near hotel (£10.50) and a very short walk. WiFi was good & rooms are fairly dated due to the age of the hotel but they have done a good job making clean and looked to be the best of the row of hotels in the area. Would stay again if I was in the area. Couple that run it were lovely and very helpful!

Clean room and looked like the bathroom had been refurbished recently. Comfortable bed and Hotel was affordable in a great location. Breakfast consisted of juice and coffee/tea, cereals and a nice full English which sets you up for the day. I Would definitely stay here again if I return to Hastings.

Quiet Solo Summer Trip

Really central hotel to the halfway point between Hastings and Saint Leonard’s, very walkable and safe. Beautiful view of the beach and rooms were very comfortable front desk and housekeeping very accommodating.

Perfect Accommodation.

It was an amazing experience. Checking was easy, the room was clean and very comfortable. The location was perfect as it made it easy to get around the beautiful town of Hastings. I would highly recommend.

Very clean and well organized hotel. The owners were friendly and easy to get along with. Adjusted my breakfast according to my likes. Never met or saw the daily cleaning lady but she was terrific; room was always made up and towels replaced when I was out.

An elderly property essentially on the esplanade. Of course that means no lift making it inaccessible for some. On the other hand the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was good and the price was incredibly low. This might have been because I visited "off season" but it was certainly about half the cost of any other lodging I used during a two-week trip across the south coast. I'd definitely go back again.

A room without a view

This is a small family-run hotel or B&B with an excellent location in Hastings, right across from the sea. The service is severely limited in terms of check-in time and breakfast availability. However, the staff is very friendly. I was given a room with patterned windows that couldn't be looked through, creating a claustrophobic feeling. If I had been given a room with a sea view and a balcony, my rating would have been much higher.

Always stay at Alexander's when in Hastings because its so clean, the owners Keith and Wendy have so much pride and care and engage with their guests. So convenient and quiet with safe underground parking at the pier.

Great location, halfway between the True Crime Museum and the castle, lots of places to eat and drink just round the corner and the beach is across the road. The owners were lovely, up for a chat and had a good local knowledge. The room was comfy and clean with coffee and tea.
