The cottage is beautifully situated for the coastal walks on our agenda and it’s location in the village is ideal for a walk to the cafe and the pub. However, the lack of any kind of small shop in the village meant getting the car out, which wasn’t really a problem but a local shop would have just made the location ideal.
The cottage itself is sweet and cosy and the kitchen facilities were enough for us to be able to cook for ourselves every evening.
There were some small drawbacks which, to our mind, would have made the venue perfect.
1) Not enough towels by any means in the cottage, just one small towel each and 2 hand towels to share. A bath sheet each would have been perfect, plus a small towel each.
2) The wardrobes in the bedrooms could not be used because of the very damp and musty smell- the small room downstairs had no wardrobe at all because the room was very small.
3) The tap in the kitchen drips constantly and according to the reviews in the book in the cottage, has been doing so for a very long time. This became increasingly annoying when eating a friendly meal together, not to mention the waste of water.
4) The information regarding recycling was very out of date- we had to drive to Tenby to dispose of our recycling.
Overall, a nice little cottage but marred slightly by some annoying issues which could be so easily rectified
