"LOCATION, lLOCATION, LOCATION! We stayed here for the convenience of the location closest to tourist attractions and transportation. The complimentary breakfast is complete with hot and cold items, juice and fruits. The beds were so comfy too! The pool was too cold for winter. Will recommend to stay here. "

"I loved the fact that this Hotel has free Parking. In San Francisco that is a big plus. I did not like the fact that I was given a room right next to Lombard Street. I should have taken ear plugs but I did not. I could only fall to sleep when the traffic subsided. Love the Location. Close to dining and the Marina"

"I love the location in the center of the city on Van Ness near California. For what you get the price is very reasonable. We received free parking which I don’t know if it’s normal but most hotels charge you $30-$80 per day to park. We were given a room on the 24th floor, which had a beautiful view of a large portion of San Francisco. The only downside is if you’re a light sleeper and your room is on the Van Ness side of the hotel there’s quite a bit of street noise. Even if you’re on the 24th floor, which is very near the top of the hotel. Overall the price of the room with free parking, including a breakfast and we ate out with family that morning, is a really good deal for a very solid hotel in a city full of expensive rooms."

"I was expecting to use spa but couldn’t - at arrival I went upstairs in person and apparently the ONLY spa worker was busy and no one was there to take an appointment. I asked a hotel worker to hunt someone down for help and later was told they were all busy. I left a phone message which was not returned for an appointment. THEN FINALLY a WORKER PHONED MY HOTEL ROOM - SHE SPENT 8 MINUTES YELLING AT ME THAT I WAS NOT UNDERSTANDABLE. Ok I am Japanese - so my Husband from Chicago got on the phone and SHE told HIM HE WAS NOT COMMUNICATING Correctly. This is a Racist, Mean, Lazy, nasty SPA! I will never return to CASA MADRONA"

"Great location, especially if you don’t want to stay in the city. However, the city is so close! "

"The room had a laminate hardwood floor that gave the impression that it was clean and as a result I found nothing objectionable. The ice machine outside was broken and it looked like it was broken for a considerable period of time. The lobby had a tiny ice machine which filled only one cup of ice. If you have a car you better check in early as parking is extremely limited. The location of the hotel offers great shopping and restaurant selection as it is on the north side of Lombard Street just one block from Chestnut which is a happening street in the Marina. I was traveling for business hence my needs are minimal which is a quiet room and a comfortable bed and although I was in the “basement” or 1st floor facing the parking lot it was surprisingly quiet. If you are looking for a budget hotel for a night or maybe two I think you would not be unhappy with this no frills establishment. "
