Love the view. Just needs a couple things

The code was wrong at the front door. Had to crawl through a window to get into the place. The washer machine is broken. The room with the bunkbeds is pretty chilly at night. The livingroom tv doesnt work at all. The wifi kept turning off and on. The view is beautiful. Not far from town. Just needs some fixing up.

Steps are dangerous and management is horrible

The steps are steep and have no tread. Totally unable to get to the house when there is rain or snow. The management is responsive but that is all. They get back to you quickly to tell you they won't help you. We spent almost our whole vacation trying to get something worked out with the rental and it just kept getting worse. Lost so much money. Had to end up paying to stay somewhere else and no reimbursement from Vasca. Ruined our vacation and time with our daughter. I will make sure to never rent with this rental company again.

Amazing Lake Cabin

This cabin has all the feels of what a lake cabin should be. Between the private dock and outdoor living area, the only time we spent inside was to sleep and prepare dinner before it hit the grill. I highly recommend staying here for a quiet, beautiful weekend.

Very nice place for a vacation

We really enjoyed our stay on the lake. Location was awesome. The house was clean. Needed a few more kitchen items like a toaster for breakfast and more BBQ utensils. Outside the cabin could have been tighten up a bit with some maintenance.

Birthday celebration

This spot is beautifully private. The home is simple and quaint. We enjoyed it immensely. There was a great place for our two little dogs to be outside besides the enclosed deck. We enjoyed several walks along the quiet road as well.

Perfect!

The home was very cozy and just the right size for 2 (+ kids if you have them). The view is the best with lots of windows to enjoy the lake. A large deck to sit outside with a fire is another great feature. It is very private and has a large area for an outdoor BBQ. The only drawback for me was the narrow steps to get to it, as I walk with a cane but I would still stay there again! I hope its available next year because we'd love to stay again!

Nice lake front property

This is right on the lake with a personal dock. House is cozy with nice amenities. Wonderful sitting area under the trees. Main bed was not that comfy for us.

Reunification

My wife and I had a “honeymoon” type adventure that rekindled our 12 year flame! Beautiful views, warm, cozy feel, music and nature, great local restaurants and wine! Wonderful 9 days of peace! Stairs are a challenge on the way home, makes you want to extend a view extra nights just to not have to carry your luggage up them.

Rustic but charming

The views are amazing! The cabin itself is older with some updating in the kitchen and bathrooms. The upstairs bed and living room furniture could use an update. The location is great. And tons of privacy as it is set down away from the road. If you have a hard time with stairs, there are a lot of them from the parking area to the house. So just keep in mind all the stuff you haul down those stairs, you will need to bring back up. The washing machine didn’t work, so hopefully they get that fixed. No dishwasher, so you are the dishwasher. Bring your own oil and seasonings if you plan on cooking as there was only salt and pepper. Overall, i enjoyed my time there, but it would have been better with a comfy bed and couch to chill on.

We arrived ready for a relaxing vacation, but what we got felt more like an escape room. The front door wasn’t anywhere near the driveway, or where a front door would logically be. It was actually hiding on the opposite side of the house. The washer/dryer, which was listed as an amenity was a decorative feature. I called the rental agency, and they casually mentioned that, yep, it hadn’t worked for the previous guests either. Promised a follow-up. Never heard from them again. The living room TV turned off on its own and refused to come back on. The downstairs TV didn’t have the right remote, so also a no-go. There was dirt and dead bugs in every window seal. The master bedroom had spiderwebs in every corner, and the master bed had a horrible crunchy plastic cover on it. We had to flip a breaker to get the outside lights to work, and even then, only about 5% of the bulbs lit up — just enough to make it creepy. The firewood shown in the picture is no where to be found. The Egg BBQ grill was covered in mold. Safety was not a thing— two of the bunk beds were DIY with no top railings, the steps were scary, very scary, and the dock ramp was so narrow it felt like a tightrope challenge. The ladder into the water was broken. The gate that separates the yard from the steps to the dock was also broken so if you have children or pets you will be constantly worried. The cookware looked like it had survived Y2K, and coffee options are a Keurig with exactly two pods. Lighting inside was blinding fluorescent can lights with no dimmer. If you’re hoping for comfort, cleanliness, and working amenities — keep looking This isn’t it.

Cabin Perfect

The location and the privacy it provided was perfect to escape the city and any daily grind. Loved the fireplace and the upstairs area. The downstairs part is the really rustic area of the home. Very cold and no heat source I could find to heat up the bathroom. Upstairs bath was acceptable.

Nice location-but it has issues

When we arrived the refrigerator was not at a safe food storage temp. It was at 47 degrees. We had to store our perishables in a cooler-which meant we couldn’t take out cooler to the lake. The dock has several broken planks, deck railings are about to fall over and stair railing outside need to be sanded and painted. You can not hold them I fear of splinters. Couch in the upstairs is super old and stained. Overall it just needs some TLC and it would be worth the price or more. In its current state it is not.

Cozy cabin, lakeside

We loved this location despite all of the stairs to it and broken washer and dryer! It's a remodeled old cabin but was very clean and comfortable with 3 sets of bunk beds, kayaks and a SUP for our kids! In addition to no laundry as advertised, no dishwasher or bbq tools, stuck sliding screen door and the knob didn't work on the deck fire pit... but the location lakeside, view, and outdoor dining area made up for all of the hiccups! We'd stay here again when all of the wear and tear gets fixed for the price of being on hayden lake! Recommend

Pack your bags. LITERALLY.

The description failed to mention (or if it does I missed it) that you have to go down TWO steep sets of stairs (14 steps, and 12 steps connected by a sloped landing) with an overall elevation drop of about 30'. At 73, and having broken both ankles in the past, hauling our luggage down was hard. Hauling it back up was brutal.

Beautiful location - but we had issues!

This is a lovely spot, but it would really be nice if the amenities listed were accurate. We would have been more prepared and brought the necessities. Somewhere on the listing it needs to say that you need to bring your own drinking water--at the very least it needs to be in the email sent the day before. We came all the way from Portland, Oregon and had no idea you couldn't drink the water. The first thing my daughter did was drink a glass of lake water. This is a serious safety issue. I would really go after you if she had gotten sick, luckily she didn't. Then we had to drive back to town the first night we arrived to buy water, only to find there isn't a coffee maker, only a kerig. We are big coffee drinkers and there was no way to make coffee with our fancy coffee grounds. You need to specify this on the listing. The next morning after trying to pour hot water over the grounds we drove back to town to buy a coffee maker for the rest of our stay. The house sleeps 9 but has 5 coffee cups and 7 forks. The dishes in the cupboard weren't clean so we had to wash them before using them (which I don't blame the owners for, it was the last guest), but there are only 2 dish towels and they are polyester. This means they didn't dry the dishes, and if you tried they left little blue bits of fabric on the dishes. If you just left them in the dishdrainer, little bugs got all over them when they dried. The fireplace didn't work, super bummer as it got cold that week. Bring everything!
