Great Place to Stay!
My husband rented this house for a men's retreat. The house was very clean and well equipped. And communication with Margo was very easy. We would definitely reserve this house again!

Girls Trip for Eclipse and a Birthday
The Chateau on the Little Red River was an amazing spot to view the 2024 eclipse! We spent the day on the river dock. So peaceful. There is a canoe but we weren't sure if we could use it so we left it alone. It was certainly a temptation. The home is positively wonderful. There is plenty of room to spread out and relax. Our group dwindled down to 4 from the original 6 and we were each able to have our own bedrooms which was super nice. And all of our beds were quite comfortable. The master bed has a big Jacuzzi tub for the ultimate in relaxation. We only used the main kitchen and it had everything we needed to cook delicious meals. There is a nice gas grill out back as well. Margo is a super hostess! 5 stars all around. She was so responsive to my questions. She even left us a bottle of wine and eclipse glasses. Thank you Margo for everything!

Wonderful House
We rented the house for the weekend for a 40th birthday trip and it was such a fun place to stay. There were 8 of us ladies and more than enough room!

Family gathering!
This home had everything we needed! We enjoyed gathering around the fireplace and playing games, sharing stories. The fishing from the dock in the back yard was great! The kitchens are fully stocked and the home decor is beautiful! A great place to relax and get away!

Wonderful location with beautiful view
We really enjoyed our stay here. We were four families, there was enough space for all and extra air beds were very useful. Kids enjoyed all board games and also had fun doing fishing. Best part was grilling experience with gas grill and lot of wood to use for fire pit. Definitely looking forward to come again in future. We made wonderful memories. Owner was very friendly.

A must stay on the Little Red River
Absolutely fabulous! Truly 5 Star rental. If you want a care-free luxurious vacation, you need the Chateau on the Little Red River. The house is large and offers plenty of space for family and friends. Bring your clothes and groceries and you are set for a wonderful stay. Our family absolutely loved the house, the location, the accommodations, and the beautiful views. Margo was a dream to work with meeting and exceeding all of our needs and wants. Our family will be frequent renters and will return often. Thank you Chateau on the Little Red River!

A Gem on the Little Red
This property will not disappoint! The pictures are outstanding but do not do this beautiful home justice. It is spacious, comfortable, and the owners have it extremely well equipped with quite literally everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. 10/10 recommended and would stay here again for sure!

Chateau is definitely an adequate name!
This house is beautiful and very spacey! Great upstairs room for kids and huge master. View was gorgeous and a short way down to the dock. We caught a lot of trout! Boat rental right down the street. Great outdoor spaces for cooking and fellowship. Best stocked kitchen I have ever seen at a vrbo. We will definitely be going back!

The Château is Dreamy
This was our second trip to the château. This house is absolutely wonderful. We LOVE the floor the ceiling windows that overlook the river. Having two different family rooms was perfect for late night teen gatherings. The kitchen and huge pantry were well stocked. This year was pretty cold so we huddled in the little house on the dock to enjoy the river. We love this house and hope to visit again!

Spring Break 2023
Our family of nine really enjoyed the Chateau on the Little Red. Three couples, three kids, ages 7,5,4. All the grown ups enjoyed a king bed, each kid had a bed to themselves. The beds were comfortable, sheets were soft, towels were heavyweight! The open concept family room, kitchen, dining suited our needs just fine. Walk in pantry was great. The master bedroom, bath and closet were enormous! The sitting area there allowed some tired grandparents a little break from some noisy active grandkids! We cooked and ate in for the most part. This was the best equipped kitchen of any rental I’ve ever booked. The second kitchen and living area allowed our grown children some private time away from us. I know they enjoyed several movies in there while we read books. We worked puzzles, played cards and the kids liked the huge checkerboard. Unfortunately, the dam generated all day, every day so the water was high, fast and cold. The boys did locate some shoals down stream where they could wade fish. Everybody that wanted to fish did so and caught at least one fish. The 7 and 5 yr olds were ecstatic!! We hiked the Collins trail and the Bridal Falls. The Collins was a great trail for kids. Bridal Falls was much more of a challenge to get to the bottom, but well worth it! Many thanks to the Germanys for loaning us their home and helping us create some great family memories!

Great house.
Very very nice house. Lots of room and really clean. We had a great time even though the river didn’t work with us. We came to fish but the dam was releasing every day. Our bad luck with the river didn’t stop us from having a good time. We cooked some good food in the very nice kitchen and enjoyed great friends. Would definitely go back.

Amazing home and property
Our family drove up from SE Texas to celebrate my son's 19th birthday. The house was absolutely amazing! The photos cannot do it justice. We had everything we needed on hand and so much space. We enjoyed our weekend at the Chateau with friends. The pictures didn't fully do justice to how spacious the home is, which was great for our group! We enjoyed peacefully sitting on the deck, fishing from the dock, cooking in the well stocked kitchen, and hanging out with friends. The owners were friendly and very quick to respond to any questions I had. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Phenomenal!
Seamless communication with property manager from initial inquiry to departure. The owners went above and beyond to help research and make recommendations for our unique tour requests. Home was well appointed and stocked with items we didn't even realize we might need. Absolutely serene setting, incredibly friendly community and so relaxing we extended our stay. Already looking forward to our return. If the rating system allowed the option to select more than 5 stars, we certainly would!

We very much enjoyed having John and Catherine stay at our home. They were perfect guests! They were so easy to communicate with, it felt like I was talking to a friend. I enjoyed hearing what John and Catherine were enjoying about the area throughout their stay. It is not often that my housekeeper raves about how nice a guest leaves our home, but she said John and Catherine left our home in perfect order-better than ANY guest we have ever hosted! If I could rate them more than five stars, I certainly would! John and Catherine were simply delightful to have in our home. We would love to host them again. I highly recommend them as guests!

Loved the house and fully equipped kitchen. Only suggestion would be to have seating in the front yard and handicap rails in all bathrooms. Overall enjoyed it very much.

Relaxing Stay at the Chateau

Beautiful Home in an excellent location.
The home is absolutely gorgeous and is set up perfectly as a vacation home. The covered dock and dock house are amazing, although the fishing was terrible during our stay (obviously no fault on the owner). Definitely check the dam status prior to staying anywhere on the Little Red if you plan on fishing. The way the house is setup works perfectly for multiple families or couples. We will definitely return. The only issue we had is that the dryer was broken when we checked in (on a Friday). Margo was able to get a new one delivered on Monday, which worked out fine in the end.

The day before he checked in, Adrian was informed that our dryer was not functioning. A part had been replaced before his arrival. Unfortunately, that part also malfunctioned. Our appliance repair technician ordered a new part immediately. Adrian had checked in on a Thursday. The next day, the guest reached out to me and informed me he did not read my message about the dryer and was upset. I offered to reimburse him for drying his clothes at the nearby laundromat, or let him use the dryer at an empty vacation rental home we own (our personal home). We had a BRAND NEW dryer delivered first thing Monday morning. I am a bit perplexed if there is anything I could have done differently to please this guest. I am very disappointed by his response. Adrian is the first guest to ever give us a 4 star review. Unfortunately, you can’t please everyone.

The house is immaculately cleaned, and whether you want to spend your time inside the house, our outside, you have several options that all have an amazing view! Best Rental Yet!
We travel to Arkansas twice a year for mini family reunions, and this was my favorite find yet!! The house was immaculate, easy to find and access, and it was very well stocked. We rented to watch football and cook with our family, and the kitchen and living room were made for entertaining! The river access was great too, and can’t wait to come back some time in the warmer months to really enjoy. Thanks for a beautiful stay!

Excellent Property, They Thought of Everything!
Absolutely wonderful home, so glad Jeff and Margo have decided to share it with others. They have truly thought of everything for your stay, and we appreciated the extras like coffee pods and personal toiletries. The home is well stocked with dishes and cookware and the fishing dock is amazing. Excellent location on the river and yes, we caught fish! We also took advantage of the inflatable kayaks which were really nice. Only wish we could have stayed longer, but we'll definitely be back.

Always a great time at the Chateau!
Margo and Jeff are fantastic hosts, the Cheateu is a beautiful home and the location cannot be beat. This is our second year in a row spending a week here with friends, and I hope we can do this more often and make this a regular tradition. Kitchen: Any utensil or appliance you could need. Living rooms (Yes, there are two): Plenty of seating, plenty of entertainment options, great TV, great view. Outside: Spacious back patio with charcoal grill and views of the river. Easy river access with clean, well-adorned dock. Great fishing from the dock. Bedrooms: Beds are super comfortable. Closes are plenty spacious. Bathrooms: Tip-top shape. If you've got a group of people, you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful Property & Great Fishing!
This property was absolutely perfect! This was our fifth vacation to this area and this was by far the best property we have stayed at. Plenty of room for all of us and the two separate sides gave us complete privacy. We caught plenty of fish, enjoyed the dock and not difficult to get down to the river. Nice grassy area out front to play with the kids and quiet road so had lovely walks in the evening. Kitchen had everything we could possibly need and the second kitchen provided additional fridge storage we needed. Big pantry to store your food which was another plus that you don't see in many rentals. Loft area was perfect for the kids with 3 beds, tv and game system. Overall just perfect property. Owners were extremely responsive to all questions. Will definitely stay here again.
