Average aged hotel

The hotel looked aged but the interior is alright. It was located right next to Bismarckplatz and opposite to it is the Galerie which is a huge shopping mall. It is about 10 minutes walking distance from the train station, and you can ride the tram / bus to and from there as well, thus location wise this hotel is awesome. The pros of this hotel are the location. The cons are there was no conceige (I have to put my luggage to the store room all by myself, the receptionists never helped and the luggage store room can be entered by anyone without any management), the hotel looked aged, the hotel is pretty small, looked aged and was not sound-proofed well - it was noisy in the evening as it is just on a road. But other than those, it is actually fine as it is clean.

This hotel has a wonderful location.

The location of the hotel is very good. There are restaurants, super market and stores around. The hotel itself is very clean and quite inside. I was staying in the back side of the hotel. When the window is open, it is easy to here employee front the restaurant talking in the back.

The first room was not that clean, so we asked for room change. The reception was kind enough to immediately change the room, and probably upgraded us but this one was stinking cigarettes and I was so tired to change again. On the staff side, the receptionist did what he could do, but the cleaning should be better. Actually that’s the first thing I expect. The location was good. We saw that there were coffee setup in other rooms, we didnt have that.

Dieses Hotel ist perfekt in der Innenstadt von Heidelberg gelegen. Man ist quasi sofort in der Hauptstraße und läuft vielleicht 20-30 Minuten zum Marktplatz, der Alten Universität und anderen Sehenwürdigkeiten. Das Zimmer, das ich hatte, war schön groß, insbesondere aber auch das Bad (mit Dusche und Badewanne!). Das Personal war effizient.

We booked through Expedia and the staff could not locate my reservation even though I had a booking number and showed them (my other friend booked through Expedia also, but hers was able to be found). The nice young lady at reception gave us a wonderful room and was very helpful. I wish we stayed more than one night, the room was beautiful and comfortable. The bus/tram station was a 2 minute walk across the street. We utilized their luggage space, which was convenient but I did not like that they just allowed us to put our own luggage in there and it wasn't locked, so anyone could go in an claim someone else's luggage.
