Great little cabin in the woods near Lake Superior! The cabin had a very strong musty odor upon arrival but it got better once the windows were opened, however, it was off-putting at first impression. Nice vintage decor, cozy and comfortable for two nights.

This was a great place for my adult daughter and I, and her dog to spend our annual Mother Daughter trip. Very accomodating to dogs with dog dishes, towels, chair covers and waste receptacle. Not on the water but. a short walk away from being able to stroll along the beautiful Lake superior shoreline. We took advantage of kayaking and cruising around the Apostle Islands.

Beautiful property surrounded by woods. Conveniently located near lots of hiking trails and water sports. Lovely cabin and the host was very helpful and informative. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay on the south shore.

Fun place to stay! Quiet and peaceful. The main room was a great place to gather and make meals or play games. We enjoyed walking down to the beach and seeing the changing mood of the lake. Erin was very helpful and responsive. Would stay again for sure!

A perfect little escape

We LOVED our stay at this listing! Erin was so attentive, and made sure our stay was as comfortable and seamless as possible. We had no issues checking in or out, the property was exactly as we expected (clean, location was well described, and the pictures were very accurate). We brought our pup, and found the property to be extremely pet friendly! The area (Cornucopia) offers the perfect amount of dining/shopping and activities! We plan to return to the area (a few days just isn’t enough!) and wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again! Thank you for sharing your space with us!

Perfect getaway!

The cabin was perfect and met all of our needs! We were just minutes away from Lake Superior, and hiking trails and waterfalls were just a short drive away. The surrounding towns of Port Wing, Herbster and Cornucopia offered great places to shop and eat. We will definitely be back!

Perfect stay for us and our pets

We enjoyed the property and the cabin very much. There was a lot of communication from the property owner and they were very accommodating. A lot of personal touches were appreciated. I can definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful, secluded property with all the attention to details! We like to cook together on trips like this and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. All the little touches from movies to the record player to cozy blankets made our stay perfect. We loved the private beach and even caught some nice sized Northern Pike in the creek leading into Lake Superior by the beach. What was so nice is it was close to Bayfield without the busyness of Bayfield. Erin was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for the best stay. We will definitely have Woodland Escape on our list to return to when we hit the South Shore again.
