Encompassed by stunning scenic countryside, the market town of Hay-on-Wye, 2 miles away, is found within the Brecon Beacon National Park, renowned for its outstanding natural beauty, literature festival, bookshops, and great selection of local bistros, shops, galleries, and restaurants. Those who love life on the water can hire a canoe from Hay-on-Wye to explore the River Wye from its best watery angle. The delightful village of Talybont-on-Usk, with its postcard-perfect scenery, quaint village shops, cafes and pubs, can be reached within 19 miles.
