Staff was amazing and extremely friendly. They helped us out for our needs as we celebrated a couple nights in Hermanus. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was included with our stay and had a lot of options for us. Parking was included as we had our rental for this stop as part of the Garden Route. The hotel is about a 10 min walk from City Center and along the cliff Road Trail that goes around the bay. Again I can’t stress how great the staff was and for a boutique hotel, they matched the energy and attention of a bed and breakfast. Would come back.

Great staff and location, but room, breakfast and facilities were lacking - did not feel like a 5 star hotel. Our bedroom was often damp, the carpet had wet spots and 1 day our bed sheets had wet patches that we had to blow dry. The bedroom was also directly next to a roundabout so heavy traffic and no privacy to see the views / needed more sound proofing.

Be sure to take out insurance when booking at this hotel. This is our advice. Most hotels work with customers but this one does not. We contacted the hotel because we were delayed mid journey outside of the country. The hotel is not willing to be flexible even with 3 days notice that we can't make our booking. They even told us were were with in the cancellation time frame. But they want to stick to the policy. Sad. So rigid. If only we were in the country. So disappointing when you provide as much warning and advance notice as possible. And the hotel does not care but rather, take the money and adhere to policy. It is not a hotel I will be rushing to book at next time we are in Hermanus. But my suggestion for all is to book with travel insurance so you do not have to worry about this hotel following their policies!
