Everything you would want from a B&B - a warm welcome from Lois - including a cup of tea - lovely clean and well appointed room and ensuite and a great breakfast selection prepared by David. A good base from which to explore Northumberland.

We easily found the property and were given a personal tour and a lovely pot of tea. We slept well and had a scrumptious breakfast every morning. Dining was a quick walk into town and very nice as well.

Perfect place for the Wall
Everything excellent. The room was comfortable, well equipped, and very clean. Everything worked and was convenient.
Breakfast is excellent. You have to say what you want for a cooked breakfast the evening before but that isn't a problem at all
Lois, our host, was very interested in our itineraries and was very happy to offer advice on whatever plans we add.
Ideally located for the popular spots on the Wall, it's unlikely you could find anywhere better for your visit

Fantastic location, easy drive to Roman sites, and a short walk to the train station. Breakfast cooked to order was delicious and a nice variety. Room was larger than typical and a friendly greeting each morning. Highly recommended.

Wonderful host. Great central location.
Lovely friendly host who made us so welcome, even giving us a little flask of fresh milk to fill our thermoses with coffee for the next day for our travels. We will return.
