住宿資料

Picturesque Cottage on a Beautiful Farm

  • The Cottage at Henry River Farm is a peaceful farm getaway nestled between the South Mountains and Henry River. Come slow down, enjoy the countryside, and experience a little of the simple farm life.

This cozy studio cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a queen bed, full bathroom, kitchen, dining area, A/C and TV. Shiplap walls from floor to ceiling give the cottage its farmhouse charm.

Outside, enjoy the spacious patio with a picnic table, patio furniture and rocking chairs—perfect for morning coffee or relaxing with a good book.

Henry River Farm is a working family farm, so you may see us milking cows, feeding animals, tending the farm and going about our normal farm chores during your stay. Take a stroll around the farm and say hello to our cows and other farm animals. Please remember that some animal areas are surrounded by electric fencing.

From mid-September through the end of October, the farm is open to the public for our fall season, with a pumpkin patch, farm activities, farm store and bakery. The public farm area is beside, but separate from, the cottage area, with signage marking the guest area. Cottage guests are welcome to enjoy the farm during public hours!

A farm-fresh breakfast basket featuring ingredients from our farm may also be available for an additional fee.

Guests have private access to the Henry River for fishing (NC fishing license required) and swimming.

We’re approximately 15 minutes from downtown Morganton and less than 15 minutes from South Mountains State Park, with Lake James, Table Rock and Linville Falls all within easy reach.

This was perfect! I absolutely loved the farm! So quiet and relaxing. Mandy and Tyler are the perfect hosts. Their dog Maggie greeted me and cuddled next to me each morning while I drank my coffee. I will definitely book again when I am in the area.

Don't come expecting to spread out in a spacious room with all of the space and the amenities of a hotel in town. If you are willing to enjoy a small, simple space with a great view of the farm then this is a great place to spend some time.

This property was exactly what we needed after staying in larger VRBO’s and hotel room rooms at the beginning of our vacation. We were greeted by Maddie the farm dog, and she soon became a welcoming staple during our stay. We absolutely loved the variety of cows right outside of our window along with the rather friendly chickens! If you were looking for something off the beaten path, this is the place for you. The hosts are amazing and we loved watching them run their farm along with their children. We were even lucky enough to see one week and two week old calves. This is the place we were able to stop, relax, read and just be at peace. The very kind hosts were also quick to respond to our inquiries!
