We've been coming to Highlands for about 10 years and I would say that this was our favorite property. Very comfortable house, great back porch and easy drive to town. The owner was also a pleasure to deal with. We can't wait to come back!

One of our favorite Highlands vacation homes! Close to town and also terrific walkable neighborhood that is quiet and has lovely views. Especially enjoy the screened in porch for morning coffee. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for eating meals in and also close enough to enjoy restaurants in Highlands. Comfortable and immaculate bedrooms and baths and simple check in. We love the large dining table to do jigsaw puzzles while enjoying tv and fireplace. Thanks for another perfect visit!!

I will start with the good. Hostess was great with communication. House was clean, with a lovely porch. Furnishings were nice. Beds comfortable. Kitchen very nice. For the not so good. House was a bit musty, so there were a lot of lavender infused oils put out. Smell was overpowering and one guest was severely affected by the scent. Had to find the culprits and put them outside. Bathrooms were very dated and toilets were so old and low, we older ladies had some issues with our creaky knees! Also, the carpets in bedrooms were very old and worn. Probably reason for musty smell. We ladies did have a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed the porch. I would not give a 10. More like a 7.5.

We had the most wonderful Christmas holiday here in the Highlands. Our neighbors, the Powers, stayed here last year and highly recommended this home—and now we completely understand why. The location is perfect, the mountain views are absolutely beautiful, and the house is furnished so beautifully and thoughtfully. We especially loved the handmade ceramic mugs—such a special touch that made our mornings feel extra cozy. This home truly feels welcoming and made our family time together even more meaningful.“Time spent with family is time well spent.”Thank you for sharing such a lovely space. We made memories here that we will cherish for years to come.— The Hogan Family

Lovely home 15 minutes from downtown Highlands

A very comfortable and lovely home all on one level with a great screened porch and well stocked kitchen made the perfect place for 4 adults and two young children for a week. A nice collection of toddler toys was a special bonus.

Tree House in the forest.

This place is wonderful. Jana has done a great job tastefully decorating this cozy yet spacious home. From the upscale furnishings, to the well equipped kitchen, to the hand made custom pottery crafted by the host nothing is missed.Step out to the screened porch and you feel like you are sitting in a treehouse in the middle of the forest listening to the breeze cutting through the leaves and the birds singing. The location is very convenient to downtown Highlands. Just minutes away. We hope to return soon and highly recommend this property.

Great House in Highlands

We had a great time in Highlands. The house was perfect. Cold weekend, a bit rainy, and yet the porch, indoor huge fireplace, living room area, large kitchen, served us very well. Very nice view, quite neighborhood, great hiking. Communication with the owner was some of the best we have ever had with vrbo properties. Thank you and we hope to be back.

Beautiful home in Highlands

This home was the perfect getaway for our family -- we have two young children, and the layout of this house worked out so well for us. (Not to mention, it's decorated beautifully & the views are unmatched!) The host was a great, quick communicator and the home had everything we needed for a wonderful few days away. Location was ~10 min into town (all paved roads), and featured breathtaking views from every room. I highly recommend this rental -- we'd love to return someday soon!

I wanted to stay longer!

My family enjoyed our visit to Highlands immensely. Fall beauty everywhere around us. The three bed/three bath house was perfect for our family of six. We particularly enjoyed the cool mornings on the screened in porch and the daily challenge of starting a fire in the fire pit! When can we come back?

Girls weekend

We all enjoyed our long weekend in this lovely home. It is a great location with hiking trails close and Highlands shopping minutes away. We especially enjoyed the screened in back porch and ate most of our dinners there. The kitchen is well equipped and there is even a Big Green Egg that we used to smoke our steaks. We hope to return to this perfect rental home on our next Highlands adventure!

Lovely, Restful Stay

Spent a month at this lovely, quiet home. Many hours enjoying the thunder out on the screened porch. House is nicely appointed. Appreciated the many nice touches by the hosts (personal care products in the bathrooms, coffee, basic spices). Hosts were very accommodating and easy to communicate with.

Fantastic Host!

Jana’s house in Highlands was a perfect place for our family, she is also a perfect host as well. She is so kind to any of our wishes and requests, gave us a very flexible choice to check in & out.. Her house is very peaceful to get away on a high mountain spot to relax, and also provided us everything we needed to cook one day… we hope to go back to her house again in summer this time! We highly recommend this spot to anyone who is visiting Highlands. Thank you again Kana
