We absolutely loved our stay! It felt like a very relaxed inn out on the west coast or a cozy summer camp. A gem in the Highlands! Immaculate vibes and no pretentiousness that can sometimes be found in the area. Everything was thoughtfully curated and styled. It was truly relaxing. We enjoyed the firepit they had going in the evenings and the convenient and delicious coffee bar in the lobby each morning! We will be back soon!

If you are looking to a truly unique experience while staying in Highlands, NC. this inn is a must. We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Such an amazing job of decorating the rooms. Truly one of the best hotel/inn experiences we have ever had.

Cool vibes and cozy, yet spacious rooms. Lots of attention to details. Conveniently located just beyond Main Street, but not in the thick of the crowds. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for something unique and not your average stay!

Enjoyed the rustic, hippie-ish vibe. Coffee/wine bar is great. Nice bathroom. However, room did not have one comfortable chair to sit in. There were 3 in the room. Should just have 2 and make them comfortable. Also needs some basic instructions for the HVAC unit. Hard to make comfortable. Good location. Great staff.

Loved Outpost Inn; highly recommend and can't imagine staying anywhere else in town -- incredible vibe, great coffee shop and wine bar, lots of cute spots to sit inside and outside. It felt like the place in town when all the younger, cooler (young meaning, 50 and under, ha) hang out. I loved my room, which was spacious and comfortable. I appreciated the free drip coffee in the mornings. And wow, the weather in Highlands can't be beat in the summer.

I have literally NEVER stayed somewhere more perfect. The property was beautiful and it seemed like every single little detail was thought of. The bed was comfortable, the shower pressure was out of this world amazing, the common spaces provided an excellent third space to just read and exist. Cannot wait to head back to the area just so I can stay here again and again.

Electric decor much is worn. Mini splits annoying - always trying to self adjust and seem to have significant out air (many nearby fire pits). Nice shower but hand held holder broken. Really cool 60's vibe. Rock band pictures, peace signs everywhere. It really oozed peace and love throughout. We grew up in the 60's so it really took us back in time. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Location is very close to downtown. Great!

This property is well located. Outskirts of town but still walkable. Nice coffee shop on site. Staff is friendly. Our room was small but nice and clean. Very comfortable king bed! The place has a 1970’s kind of vibe. Older property but rooms have been nicely restored on the inside. Cozy lobby with fireplace and outdoor firepits. Fun experience! Reasonably priced.
