Definitely book an executive level room with the beach view and outdoor tub if you can. There is a free drink and appetizer lounge for executive level room customers and other perks. Ride the bikes around the island. Beautiful property and surroundings. "

"This was a very enjoyable stay in a beautiful location. A Great combination of mountains and ocean. The house was very clean, neat, and tidy. Towels, laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, and shower products are provided. While this is a compact Japanese house, it felt very spacious to me. A nicely appointed kitchen, clothes washer and dryer, a big TV with sound bar, and multiple places to sit and enjoy the great views. "There was a delicious breakfast in the mornings, the rooms were clean but it had a faint smell I’m unsure what it was. Besides that it was a great stay! Washer and dryer was great! Cheap and very good!"

"This was by far the nicest room/resort we have stayed in. After being cramped in many Japanese hotels and ryokans, this was much much larger with three queen/full size beds, a 65" TV and an outdoor bath (mineral salts available in the lobby). However, please understand that as this location is very remote, dining options in the area and transportation may be limited. This may be why we didn't see any foreigners there? However, they do provide pick-up service to and from the Shin-Iwakuni station depending on the room you're staying in given you contact them at least three days in advance. Although our Shinkansen was unexpectedly delayed by two hours due to rain/lightning, they patiently waited for our arrival and did not leave us stranded. Perhaps the only downside was that we only stayed two nights as I felt we could've done with some more downtime and taking advantage of the amenities including the bikes and SUPs. I hope to return again soon, staying for a longer time next time. Thank you Marissa Resort for giving us an incredible and memorable vacation!"
