The 11-mile lagoon is owned by Palmetto Dunes Property Owners Association (PDPOA) and is overseen by the Lagoon & Lake Advisory Group. Due to high salinity levels, fish are unable to reproduce and the lagoon is restocked with 11-inch fingerlings annually. The lagoon is intended for the enjoyment by Palmetto Dunes and Leamington property owners and their invited guests. Approved activities include boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing and crabbing. Paddleboards and swimming in the lagoons and lakes are prohibited.
