Thanksgiving at the Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been going to HHI the week of Thanksgiving for 40 years. We have 2 kids with spouses and 4 grandkids between the ages of 4 years old and 9 that all join us - the home fits us well. It is a great getaway and we have enjoyed Palmetto Dunes for the majority of those stays. The resort has been so accommodating and easy to work with. We plan on being there again next year, the Lord willing.

Fun times

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love this house and have stayed here one time before. The layout of the house is great, we like the pool and back pond. We love to see the different birds, also saw little alligator, we named Hector! We love to ride bikes around Palmetto Dunes. Great to have the screened porch. Many visits to Cocos beach bar ! Just a note the water pressure in the master is none, if you wanted to use the jet tub, it would take hours to fill and the shower has no pressure. We were not happy with the hot tub , we did not heat it since it was August and hot out. If you do not heat the hot tub, it is just like a pool. They want over $500.00 to heat and extra $150.00 if they could get it done that week with short notice, we chose not to pay $700.00 to heat on the Sunday we were there. Other houses on the same street are only charging $300.00 to heat the hot tub. This is a problem. Love the house other wise, hot tub heat may be an issue on us coming back to this house again.

From my reservation process with Joe who is excellent to my contact with Roberta, who helped with any issues, I am very pleased with my rental experience. We did have a couple of issues with this house and Roberta coordinated with maintenance to get us taken care of. The whole PD Team is professional and really care about making our stay wonderful. Best house and beach stay ever. Can’t wait to come back.

Great Home for a Family Get Together

Beautiful Family Retreat

The kids had an upstairs room all to themselves while grandparents and parents were able to have first floor accommodations. The home is beautifully decorated and well stocked. If there was anything to note - the home does not have cable tv. All of the TV's are Roku TV's that allow you to log into your personal apps, but if you are used to relying on cable tv for your viewing pleasure, this may be a struggle for you - I know it was for my father-in-law.

The few notable things we noticed; back door to screened in patio doesn't lock, front porch rail left side failing/corrosion at sleeve and the fridge ice dispenser a little fiddly. Maybe its a COVID thing but would have been nice to have some basic staples (salt, pepper, ketchup, honey, etc.) as well as a little more paper towels, toilet paper, etc. This was perfect for us in so many ways, 6 adults/plenty of room and privacy. The bike rental service made the beach trip a snap. The wildlife in the back yard was amazing.

Spacious and Beautiful but lots of Broken things

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Firstly, the inside of this home was stunning and so incredibly spacious. Dining room and kitchen were the biggest we've ever seen and we've stayed at over 4 different homes over the years. Primary bedroom was also beautiful. Pool table was a nice bonus. Pool size is not as small as it looks in the picture. The deck was definitely too small. Renting from Palmetto Dunes is very easy and they are very responsive but the property had issues: 1) The light in the primary bath wasn't working - they fixed it the next day. 2) Icemaker wouldn't dispense ice from the door - they couldn't fix it. 3) Spa at the pool wasn't working - they fixed the bubbles but the heat still wasn't fixed after 4 days. They refunded the spa heat fee. These were generally minor except the spa heat which was really disappointing. The kitchen was not very well equipped for cooking - pot/pan sizes were missing - but it was fine. Overall the experience was mid even though the inside of the property was ridiculously pretty. Would rent from PD again but not this unit.

Beautiful home

We enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous, clean, spacious house. Pool table and open kitchen/breakfast made it easy to hang out as a family. Bedrooms were spread out and we enjoyed the pool.

Family vacation at Palmetto Dunes

This home was perfect for our 4 families! We had our own pool on the property and the beach was a 15 minute walk/5 minute bike ride. Each bedroom had its own bathroom which was perfect! The layout of the home is very accommodating. Three of the four bedrooms are on the ground floor while the fourth only has a few stairs. We loved everything about our stay.

2021 HHI Vacation property- Great!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our second time staying at this property. The vacation was wonderful and the accommodations we’re nearly perfect. The structure and the floorplan of this fits our family of 5 adults and 2 grandchildren well.. We enjoy this house so much but must make some constructive comments which I believe will make it even more enjoyable.-There was black mold in the floor grout lines of the master bathroom shower.VERY UNHEALTHY! All showers drained very slowly to the point of pooling - because there was inadequate amount of laundry and dishwasher detergent and because the propane tank to the Weber Grill was empty, I had to purchase the supplies myself.– There was Mud and dirt smeared on the outside wooden portion of The sunroom doors. It looked as though they were not even cleaned.Most of the concerns are housekeeping issues or maintenance related. I know that the owners take great pride in their property and would want this brought to their attention.Despite these minor inconveniences, this is a fantastic house and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. We hope to return in the future.

Issues were: distance from beach and amenities, broken dishwasher, unable to use the garage to store bikes and access trash cans, having only one parking pass. Beautiful house and great location to beach

This was a wonderful home. The house was laid out perfectly and the decor was spot on for a beach vacation home. Roku made it so easy to put on shows at night. The beach was a 15 min walk or 5 min bike ride. I wish we could have used the pool more but coming out in May the water was still pretty chilly. We had never been to Hilton Head before and this exceeded our expectations. Only cons were we were not able to keep our sandy beach items in a garage and the back door to the screened in porch was really difficult to keep shut. Obviously this did not impact our stay or sway us from a 5 star review in any way! Thank you for letting us stay in your home!

Amazing week

We had an amazing week. The house was beautiful and well taken care of. The only problem we had was with the electricity. I’m not thinking the house is wired properly. If you ran the jets in the bathtub, the washer or dryer, microwave, etc..... the light would all flicker and dim. However, this was minor and did not effect us having an amazing time in this beautiful house and neighborhood. We will definitely be back.
