The explanation said that you have to share toilet and bath so I was a bit concerned, but it was very clean. The room has air conditioner so the temperature was nicely adjusted.

Smells of cigarettes
Non smoking room smelled of smoke. Shared bathroom had cigarette burns marks on sink. Not dirty but didn't feel clean. Very basic. Ok if you want minimal accommodation and are a smoker.
We really enjoyed staying at this ryokan. It felt more homely than western style hotels we had been at before this. The room was great and we had a traditional Japanese breakfast that was delicious. A lovely Japense experience
Comfortable even if you had to share the bathroom and community shower. The futons were beautiful and comfortable. The only real drawback was that no one came to the counter before check in so couldn't leave our bags there while we visited the Peace Museum. Luckily, the other half of our family was staying at a different hotel a couple of minutes away so we were able to leave it there.
Clean and tidy and comfy , very convenient location . But seems not easy to find someone to help coz I didn't see any staff there during my stay except check in and check out . Overall is great
The double room is ok for 4 people but our room smelled like someone smoked in it. There is only one shared bathroom. The breakfast was ok. The only upside is its location. Will not stay here again if there is other choice.
Total veraltetes, ungepflegtes, schmutziges "Hotel".
Good hotel. Don't get the breakfast option however unless you are a fan of a true Japanese breakfast of seaweed and rice!

Kasuga Ryokan was located in a very convenient location. Within walking distance to the Atomic Bomb museum and also around 2 minutes away from the tram line.
Check-in was very smooth and the other guests were quiet.
