Fantastic location

Beautiful property with great views, very close to the beach. The house was clean and the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was very serviceable as we cooked all our meals there. The small town of Topsail Beach was within walking distance and the teenagers enjoyed going to the arcade and ice cream shop on their own.

Stayed for a long weekend with my mother. Positives: Great outdoor space with very picturesque views and easy beach access. Upper level was clean and comfortably furnished. Negatives: the advertised lower level living space is actually unusable due to the strong musty smell and clear evidence of water damage. My mother ended up staying on a twin bed on the upper level because there was no way she would be able to sleep down there. I would not consider the space livable and am not happy to have paid for it. It is barely suitable for a rec room, and renters with large parties should steer clear.

The house location and layout were wonderful! A perfect size home for 2 people (and more if needed!). The views from inside and outside were amazing. I loved the little covered porch - perfect for curling up and enjoying a great book. There was vegetation growth in between the neighboring houses, giving you much privacy. We were very disappointed in the beds - if you like a soft mattress that you sink almost to the floor, the bed may be good for you - but it seemed completely worn out. Our greatest disappointment was the grill. We asked specifically if there was a grill with this home - which there was - only it was in pieces with work needed, as well as it was horribly dirty. We ended up having to eat out more due to plans to grill, with no appropriate grill. Driveway is very tight for larger vehicles but is doable. Would we stay again? Absolutely, if we knew the beds were upgraded.
