"Wonderful retreat. Great deck for watching the river flow by. Gas fireplace in the living room made cool mornings and evenings cozy. The home had everything we needed and more. Nearby there was a number of hiking trails and state parks to explore. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a short drive away. We especially liked the nearby Old Barn Winery for the live music. And the West Jefferson farmers market. "
"Liked the hot tub ,nice and sturdy but small alittle for 2 tall people,liked the view and set up of place,very comfortable main bed,did not have enough towels for both hot tub and shower 2 towels for shower and wash cloth for 3 days for 2 people and 1 towel for hot tub,no paper towels but i could have gotten owner to bring them just an added inconvenience not to have xtra basic essentials, but it was a nice place just bring your own towels and personal soaps.,personally i would have preferred TV in where the more comfortable big couch was instead of in the back where you overlook the woods."
"What a beautiful cabin to share a long weekend with our family! Plenty of space, and a wonderful setting. We really enjoyed hanging out on the back porch, happy hour at the awesome fire pit and floating down to Elk Shoals park a couple of times. Only wish we could have stayed longer! Beware, if anyone in your party is not good with stairs as there are lots of them! "

"Property was spacious and very comfortable as advertised. Was a little disappointed in couple of issues, fire pit on porch, LP gas was empty, several days we could have enjoyed sitting on the porch, flood lights did not work, ironically the day we were leaving a tech showed up to fix them, obviously he knew before our stay…..no trash cans, went to dump several times using pass…"
