An easily accessible cabin with a fireplace near a hiking area outside Hässleholm

A 35-square-meter cottage with a loft, situated in a secluded location on the outskirts of Hörja, just 15 km from the amenities of Hässleholm. Close to golf courses, moose and wildlife parks, and the Hovdala nature area. It’s 3 km to the popular Vedema hiking area, which offers hiking trails, picnic areas, fishing, and is also crossed by the Skåneleden trail. There is no grocery store in Hörja, but there is a nice café. The nearest grocery store is in Tyringe, about 7 km away, where you’ll also find discount stores, a gas station, a convenience store, a pizzeria, and a train station. The cottage is conveniently located along Highway 24, which runs between Mellbystrand and Hässleholm. The cottage is easy to find, as it’s on the outskirts of the village, almost directly across from the church. Hörja is an old church village with numerous ancient stone monuments and a church dating back to the 13th century. There are no neighboring houses in the immediate vicinity. It’s about 400 meters to the Hörja café, where there’s also a mailbox.
The regional bus between Hässleholm and Ängelholm runs several times a day and stops in Hörja at the bus stop, which is only about 300 meters from the cottage. From there, you can reach Hässleholm Central Station in 15 minutes—the main rail hub for southern Sweden. In Tyringe, 7 km away, there is a train station with trains to Helsingborg and Kristianstad. It is about 7 mil to Helsingborg and 10 mil to Malmö. It’s 2 mil to the E4 highway in Örkelljunga. Parking in Tyringe is free, but there is a fee in Hässleholm. Public transportation tickets can be purchased directly through the respective apps: Skånetrafiken and SJ. Heating is provided by an air-source heat pump, but there’s also a cozy wood-burning stove (firewood included). The entryway features a bench, shoe storage, and a coat rack. From there, you walk straight into the kitchen, which features a kitchen island in an open floor plan that opens onto the dining area and living room with the wood-burning stove. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and includes a microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, and electric mixer. I provide coffee, coffee filters, coffee creamer, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, barbecue seasoning, and cooking oil.
There is a dining table that seats 4 people and an additional fold-out table that seats 2 people, which can also be used as a workspace. A sofa bed that sleeps 2 people (140 cm wide)—an extra mattress is provided for it. At the other end of this room is a small bathroom with a toilet, shower, electric towel rack, and washing machine (detergent and fabric softener included). A drying rack for laundry is provided. Stairs lead to the upper floor, which features an open floor plan with 3 single beds equipped with high-quality, luxurious mattresses. Up here, you’ll also find the travel cot (note: no sheets or bedding are included for it) and the high chair, which can easily be brought down to the lower level. There’s plenty of storage space under the stairs for bags and luggage. Bed linens and towels are always washed at 60 degrees. Outdoor furniture and a grill are in the garden (charcoal and grilling utensils included). Food and water bowls for pets are available; I’ll set them out when you book with pets. You have your own garden (the cottage is not located on the owner’s property). Large garden with plenty of parking space on the property. You have access to the entire cottage and the pavilion next to it, as well as the entire property, but not the other building (it is locked). NOTE: IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:
There is not full headroom everywhere in the cottage. In some places, it is only about 180 cm, especially where the ceiling beams protrude downward. The bedroom upstairs is open-concept, so there is no door to separate the space once you’ve climbed the stairs. NOTE for families with children: The cottage is located near a very busy road, and there is no adequate protection or fence separating it from the road. Candles are not permitted; instead, I provide battery-operated tea lights. Please sort trash according to municipal regulations; more information and a guide are available at the property. NOTE: SMOKING IS PROHIBITED INSIDE THE HOUSE. Charging electric vehicles is not permitted. The house manual is available in a binder at the property and must be followed to ensure everyone’s comfort and safety.
