Houston Rodeo

Great location and nice backyard. The cleanliness of the property was not great. Dirt and scum on the walls, even found old chips under our bed. We had issues with the alarm code and WiFi password and had to get a new code from the manager. Lucky she answered and was quick to respond and help us.

Great property!!!! Highly recommend

After reading some of the reviews I was a bit skeptical about booking this place. However do not let some of these reviews scare you!!! My friends and my girlfriend had no problems with this property. Quite a few reviews complain about the cleanliness of the place. I personally think they are being too picky. The place wasn’t dusty, sure there was some very few stains here and there, but they looked like average wear and tear stains nothing out of the ordinary or filthy enough to make any of us uncomfortable. The reviews complaining about the property manager were not at all accurate with my experience. We had a last minute person join our trip and they were more then happy to accommodate at an extra fee of course (nothing out the ordinary), we also accident tripped the alarm a couple times 😅, however the host was super chill about it and wasn’t rude to us at all. Location was great, we visited everything on the Houston city pass, and almost every location, (the boardwalk was the furthest), was 30 minutes away!! The neighborhood was super quiet, and in a safe location. Overall this being my first VRBO experience, (I tend to book with 💨🛏🍳🥞 if you know what I mean, found better prices on here), was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend this property for anyone visiting Houston or just Texas in general. TLTR Host 10/10 Cleanliness 8/10 Location 9/10

Do not stay here

First thing is when I got to the property the front door has two door handles that you have to turn simultaneously to get in the house, secondly I had to clean both bathrooms as they were nasty with urine running down the front of the commode bowl and poop stains inside the bowl. Thirdly the gate and the garage were not working at all so we had to park in the driveway street which we were told not to do. Fourthly the cooktop and stove were nasty and we had to clean them before use. Under the handles were chunks of food that someone refuses to do their job. Had an issue with the oven and had to pull it out to fix it and under the stove there were roaches and just all kinds of filth. I will never ever stay at this VRBO hosts houses ever again. He charges a premium rate for a very less than mediocre house. When I asked for part of my money back I was stonewalled by his assistant and was told that the owner was in Pakistan and I would have to take it up with him.

Good news and bad

The good news is that the property was as advertised. Except for 3 huge dead cocroaches in the house it was very clean. The first day we were followed by a strange car right outside the home. Every time we drove the car with dark Windows followed then parked outside the home. This continued for about 15 minutes. We had no idea who it was. We were frightened and called the owner to see if he knew who it was. He explained it was his girlfriend. Apparently fresh off a divorce (Info from his asst.) I asked him to tell her to stop following us and to tell her that we are guests. He got very nasty and said she could do what she want and if we didn't like it we could complain because he has 700 properties. He also explained that he lives on the street. He then hung up on me. At that point we called VRBO and complained as he suggested. We did stay but we were shocked at his attitude and her behavior. Unfortunately we could not find comparable accommodations in enough time.. We could not believe he was listed as a "super host"...especially since there was only one fork in the house. We felt unwelcomed and like they are a bit dramatic. Will never stay at any of his 700 properties again even though the rest of the stay was fine.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

Upon arrival I was greeted with an unexpected payment request for additional guests without actually confirming additional guest, checkin instructions were sent hours after check in time, the property was very dirty, bugs were everywhere (spiders, roaches) . My business partners and I work from our computers and phones and the WiFi did not work, the TVs did not work, and communication with the property manager was terrible. I communicated this to the owner and he was combative, saying we’re trying to “pull a fast one” even with pictures and screenshots of us telling him of our concerns. I had to contact VRBO and send messages and pictures of the amount of bugs, dirt, and damaged appliances! He still tried charging additional fees without confirming final numbers and even after I voiced my concerns with the dissatisfaction of the property! I will never book him again.

FABULOUS home in Sugarland area

I came to Sugarland area from Hawaii for surgery. The surgical staff was worried about the neighborhood, but it was a BEAUTIFUL quiet neighborhood, where every home was meticulously maintained. The home was so beautiful, clean and well appointed and stocked. And I'm a clean freak, so everything exceeded our expectations. Mike, the manager couldnt have been nicer. He was so kind, courteous and attentive. When we couldnt figure out how to work the televisions, he made a special trip over to help us. And I wasn't feeling great following surgery, so he even let us have a late check out, since there weren't guests checking in behind us. Thank you so much, Mike. You are a gem. Overall great stay.

The reason I rated a 4 instead of a 5 was because the property seemed t be vacate for a while and the property over should have someone come I and dust/clean up once in awhile. However, there was a minor problem I contacted the property manager/owner and he sent someone out right away.

It,s a good house, but it needs to be well cleaned, floors are very dirty, bed sheet were dirty I have to washed them, dust every where and I found dead insects and I found an alive spider.

Overall great stay

We've booked this property and another with the same owner in the same neighborhood. Overall, it's a great stay. The properties are both beautiful and well furnished. The neighborhood is nice, clean, and quiet. We especially like the security gate feature and the gazebo/covered porch. The property manager/owner replies pretty quickly if you contact him about anything. For instance, there were wasps nests on the property, and he sent someone to spray them the next morning. There is only one reason why I did not rate it 5 stars: (1) the floors were not cleaned well upon arrival. If we can't walk barefoot or wear socks inside without our soles being blackened, then the floors are not clean well enough. Otherwise, it's great. We'll probably book again, and just hope someone takes some Mop'N'Glow and elbow grease or something to those floors.

Spectacular!!!

When we first came across this AirBnB We thought it was too good to be true.But everything was more than I expected. This home is perfect. This home has beautiful bedrooms with comfortable beds, gorgeous bathrooms, with a beautiful entertaining area in the living room. The kitchen is amazing and equipped with everything that you may need and more. Mike is the most thoughtful, gracious host. He was very attentive to any of our needs and also provided us with information on nearby restaurants. He went way beyond to make our long-weekend comfortable and memorable. Thanks again Mike! We definitely recommend this AirBnB when visiting Houston!!

Very nice business stay!

I decided to try something different for my work trip to Houston and rented this property instead of a hotel and it was awesome. It was just myself but it has plenty of room for a family, has a large back yard, has been recently remodeled and has a large tv in all of the rooms. I'll definitely stay again.
