A gem near Kemah Boardwalk

We took the kids to Kemah Boardwalk for spring break. This was a very nice spot with amble sleeping and a very large pool! The kids enjoyed the rides at the boardwalk and the bonus was the pool at this very updated home! We will return again!

Lovely

Loved our stay in Kemah. We enjoyed walking down to the Boardwalk and around the beautiful neighborhood. Very tidy homes and we felt safe there. As we were in the back yard sitting by the pool we saw blue jays, cardinals and woodpeckers. There was a cute and delicious ice cream shop one block away and T-bone Tom’s is close and a must eat at. Would stay here again.

This house is just perfect in every way. The kids loved the pool while we were there. The bedrooms were great and communication with owners was great. Check in and out was easy as well. If we’re ever in kemah wound definitely book with them again

Great house!

Great house for staying near the boardwalk. Clean, nice amenities, great pool. Unfortunately, we chose the week of the polar vortex so it was quite cold. One of us still went in the pool and it was definitely warm enough to swim around. The only odd thing is that there are no closets in the entire house. Otherwise, great place and great location!

Home was exactly as advertised. Check in/out process was simple. Owner messaged me just to see if everything was as expected and to see if we needed anything. Wonderful

Couldn’t have asked for a more lovely place to celebrate my husbands birthday weekend- quiet, peaceful relaxing in the pool or walking to the boardwalk. Top of the line appliances for cooking a meal. Nice grill by the pool for our steak dinner we enjoyed. House was immaculate- and very cozy! Thanks for everything Russell, we loved it!

Great Weekend Getaway!

This property was perfect for what we needed. We had two adults, two mini adults (18 year olds, fresh out of high school) and a 15 year old in our group and the house had everything we all needed to enjoy ourselves. The walking distance to the boardwalk is a HUGE plus. No need to use the car again once we got there. I knew when booking, that the weather may not be considered "pool weather" but that didn't stop the teens from fully using it once we arrived. There was one small hiccup (no hot water in the smaller bathroom), I contacted management to advise them, and they were quick to respond and offer to send maintenance. I declined since it was a short weekend stay and we didn't have problems sharing a shower. I would 100% stay here again!

Family Vacation 2024

The pool was amazing - really that was the saving grace for the trip. The washer did not work when we arrived. I let the owner know and he sent a maitance person out to look at it. We were informed a part had to be order. When I asked when the part would be in so the washer could be fixed, I received no further communication from the owner. I spent over half a day going to the laundry mat to wash clothes, beach towels, and bath towels on two different occassions for our family of 8, The frig/freezer leaked water every night. The small "beer" frig stayed too cold and froze any drinks in there even after adjusting the temperature. The master bathroom's shower onlly provided luke warm water after waiting a long while. The master bathroom had a strange smell to it. The gas stove knobs were extremely difficult to turn to get the burners working. Two consecetive days we were unable to eat outside (only table at the house) or use the pool because the trash smell was so overwhelming. A large box was delivered 2 days before our trip ended, when I asked the owner what to do with it I received no message.

Nice place - Pool disgusting - Management mildly responsive

We rented for 4 nights. A nice place. Easy walk to Kemah attractions. Bed in master bedroom is very comfortable. But the experience was the worst we’ve ever had for a rental. We chose this place specifically for the pool and paid extra compared to other places. Upon arrival, the pool was a pea soup color and covered in algae. Management sent a pool person out to shock the pool with chemicals and said It was swimmable after two hours. Its well known you have to wait 24 hours after shocking until it’s safe. The next day algae still covered all the surfaces and they sent the pool guy to vacuum and shock the pool again. He did a poor job and many surfaces were still covered in algae. I sent them photos and videos. It was not truly swimmable until after the third night. I asked for a refund for half the cost of the rental for every day it was not swimmable. They offered only 1. We spent a ton of time trying to work it out with him and with Vrbo, which all seemed like a complete waste. Very bad experience. There were other smaller issues that spoiled the mood further, like roaches and insect traps scattered all over the place. If you bring a dog or small child, I would keep an eye out for those. Ironically, there was a review on the other major home rental website, complaining of the same issues, and claiming they got a skin rash from swimming in it. So management was aware, but did not care.

We had a great stay at this property! The heated pool was perfect and communication with the Host was exceptional!! The floors are in poor shape and there are no closets; otherwise, the property is perfectly stocked with walkable access to The Kemah Boardwalk, Galveston Bay views and a plethora of wonderful restaurants!!!
