Booked hotel to take shuttle to George Brown convention center for three adults and one child. Unable to ride shuttle due to the five-year-old. Cars were in valet to avoid parking by convention center. We had to take Uber to and from for three days. Very disappointed with restaurant on property food was below standard of fast food. Took order to go for spouse and found a hair in the order. Awaiting for refund. Not worth the cost.

The room was run down and the $75 nightly deposit was shocking. The place looks nice on the outside and have a nice outside bar but the room was dusty and had hair everywhere . I requested the room to be cleaned after two days and they never came. Bathroom is extremely small. They need to renovate everything.

Love love love the Whitehall. Staff was accommodating, Great ambiance - The aroma of fresh roses wafted throughout the Property Fixtures were a little tired, To know fault of their own: street work going on that limited access to the Property. Disappointed that one of the 3 restaurants was in a steakhouse considering I was in Houston. We definitely stay with them again.

Breakfast is really good. It’s not the standard buffet fare, you actually get to order a proper main from the restaurant menu. I had a croissant breakfast sandwich one day and avocado toast the other. They will also wrap up breakfast to go if you are headed off. The bed was super comfortable. The room smelled like smoke the first day but this dissipated.

Rooms where dusty, coffee pots didn't work, Faucet leaked. The hallway smelled musty, I was totally shocked at the $50 dollars a day for parking! That would have cost more the rental car by double! The staff was really good and very polite, no complaints there at all! Food was good but limited. Overall i would not recommend staying here!

I travel often for business and leisure, and this was one of the most disappointing stays I’ve experienced. We booked based on price, amenities, and reviews, while attending an event at the George R. Brown Convention Center, about 1.4 miles away. Check-in was quick but cold and unprofessional. The room looked fine at first, but a closer inspection revealed stains on the toilet, mold on the curtains, a foul-smelling carpet, and missing essentials like shower gel and toilet paper. The room phone didn’t work, requests were ignored, and we had to go to the lobby ourselves. The lockbox was broken, the TV remote had no batteries, and the A/C drains into the shower, dripping water while you bathe. The shuttle service is misleading and unacceptable. It does not allow people with diverse disabilities, is not ADA-compliant, does not allow service animals, pets, or even families with children, only adults. It only runs within 1 mile, forcing you to walk the rest, and operates strictly on the hour with zero flexibility. Pickup never happened despite repeated calls. Staff showed no accountability. Housekeeping failed to restock basics, and requests were ignored. We ended up buying essentials ourselves. This hotel is poorly maintained, poorly managed, and falsely advertised. Do not fall into this tourist trap. I would not recommend it and would have preferred a full refund.

Zero stars if I could. Charged $50/day for parking just to stay in a room that was borderline uninhabitable. No fridge, loose jagged bathtub tiles (actual safety hazard), mold that looked painted over, and filthy, smelly carpet. Hotel was “full,” so staff did nothing. No fix, no relocation, no accountability—just excuses because we booked third-party. You’re not paying for a stay here—you’re taking a risk. Avoid.

Very clean, staff went above and beyond. Bar was great. Breakfast in the restaurant on site was delicious. I would recommend to pay for the valet parking as downtown street parking can be difficult.
