"We really enjoyed our stay at Holly Lodge. Our room was lovely, and it was clean and comfortable. It was great having air con in the room. Breakfast was also great. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we’re in the area."

"This is a great venue if you wish to be off grid lifestyle. For us it didn’t quite meet our needs as our dog couldn’t manage the staircase & although we thought we had a shower and separate bathroom we only had a bath.
Hot water is at a premium here we found & lacking in water pressure. But truly a great venue if you wish to unplug, & chill.
One recommendation I would make, to help dogs relax. Is to the make the gardens private with privacy screens. The dog next door was barky & uneasy...

"This is an aparthotel that also has double rooms. I stayed in a room. It was large, very clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a bath tub in the bedroom, and also a separate shower room and toilet, but a tiny basin with not enough room to rest even a small toilet bag. The shower head worked but leaked. The power cable to the room TV had disconnected and was impossible to reconnect without tools. Although I enjoyed an excellent dinner at the restaurant, it does not serve breakfast during the week - which means going out for breakfast. That was a minor irritation, though. The reason I would not go back (even though the location is good - opposite the Minster and near the Guildhall) was noise. I was at the back of the building. I heard the music from the restaurant, but far worse was the whine from an extractor fan or air-conditioning unit which continued until 11pm and started up again before 7am. Closing the windows might have muffled the sound, but we were in a June heatwave. There is no on-site parking, but I travelled by train, a 10-15 minute walk from the station."
"The grounds and pool were absolutely amazing, we even used the boat on the lake. Gardens and grounds beautifully maintained so pretty just to walk around. We had a lovely relaxing time."
"The room was amazing and already cooled down but we also had a fan. It was a very hot day. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Booked our next stay already"
"The staff were very polite and helpful. The food, both evening meal and breakfast were excellent. The building had a very rustic and cosy feel. Would imagine at Xmas, would be very atmospheric and charming. Definitely will return if visiting this part of Norfolk again."
"We had a lovely stay with two children and two dogs, all made very welcome. Location very good with a short walk to the harbour. Would advise to book somewhere for an evening meal as we struggled to find somewhere as a 'walk-in'. Very enjoyable stay."
"The receptionist was excellent and friendly.
Room was basic but clean.
Good value for money. Only a short walk to town centre and beach. I had a family room with double bed and a single bed. Parking on site but it will be on a first come basis. Didn’t try the breakfast but it smelt lovely."
