The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Huntsville is a decent hotel. Sitting just off I-45 and about 70 miles from Houston it's well-positioned for travelers passing through or spending time near Sam Houston State University. Rooms are clean and well-equipped, with an indoor pool and fitness center rounding out the amenities. The hot breakfast buffet was ok, hotel food. The location in a smaller East Texas city means fewer dining options within walking distance, but for anyone training in the area, passing through on I-45, or looking for a comfortable, no-surprises hotel, it delivers exactly what it promises.

Good morning, I am very disappointed with how the room is. Found dirty towel in the bathroom, the door for the bathroom hits the bathroom counter creating a hazard for my kids, they couldn’t go to the bathroom by themselves because when the door shuts their fingers could get stuck in between the counter and the door due to the size of the counter and not being properly installed, my wife stepped on a loose tile from the bathroom and pinch her foot, found trash behind the middle table between the beds, the lamp in the middle of the beds was not working at all, One of the curtains has marks of possible mold. The tv was missing a remote, one was brought up but it didn’t work so they had to bring another one. I have pictures of all this. We had to spend the majority of the day out until the kids were tired to just go to bed and leave early because that’s how unpleasant was staying here. How can I send pictures/videos for reference. My children and I were coughing throughout the nights when we would return to sleep. When I went to adjust the temperature the second night, I saw mold on the curtains. I was very alarmed when I saw this at the end of our stay. I would have left immediately had known the underlying issues with our room. Due to that factor I stated the bathroom was very unsafe to use, we were not able to confortable stay in the room because all the hazards. I believe compensation will be appropriated for the stay here. Thank you Respectfully, Peter

We arrived about 9:15pm...tired from having to deal with family affairs. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were pretty nice...then in the morning whrn were getting ready to start getting up and moving around, housekeeping tries to enter our room without knocking. Checknoutnis at 11am..we had a sign on the door, they tried to enter at 10:05am without even announcing themselves.

Limited cont. breakfast. The room was outdated: the bathroom vent fan did not work, the bed was very hard, poorly lit, the light above the spa worked off and on, and the toilet seat handle did not work properly-had to jiggle the handle.
