I am a frequent traveler to Northern Ontario”Muskokas” and allthough the front desk staff at checkin was lovely. Our sheets and room was dirty and the beds were old ans extremely soft(years of wear and tare I imagine” The TVs were old and no smart capabilty was available. The on line booking said continental breakfast but whwn I inquired I was advised they no longer offer that service. Coffee was cold and not enjoyable. I was advised they have been swamped with checkouts and did not have time to tend to this. But there were literally 3 cars in the parking lot both the evening before and when I checked in the morning. For me honesty is the beat policy and after a lifetime running tourism sales teams across both Can and Us. my thoughts went to complacentcy. Wven when your not busy all team members should act and maintain as if you are at 90 % occupancy. That simply is my opinion but I will never stay there again.

Nice hotel, clean, friendly staff. Convenient location for those visitng the Algonquin / Arrowhead area. My only slight would be the room was quite small. Along with the tiny wall mounted TV.

Check in was quick, however the staff was unaware of some of the Motel 6 procedures and wasn’t quite sure of check out time. The room was dated but clean. Had a small microwave and fridge but no coffee maker. Very awkward placement of the toilet paper dispenser, behind the user. The whole motel had the smell of air freshener, not bad but unusual smell. One vending machine was out of service. The pool was an adequate size but cold. Overall, a decent price for an average motel.

The heat in the room didn’t work. It took almost three hours before it came on and it didn’t run long enough to warm up the room. I was so cold in the room I had to put my coat and socks on half way through the night. I tried calling the front desk but the phone in the room didn’t work. When I checked in I asked for a late check out and they said I could stay until 1 pm. The next morning the person on the front desk said late check out is only until noon and she wouldn’t honour what they told me the previous night. Didn’t make sense when there were only a couple of guests at the motel. Horrible customer service and experience.
