Firstly, we had a great welcome at the port, our luggage was loaded onto a buggy and we were brought to The Bilimbi. It was well presented, extremely clean and clear request to leave shoes outside which was safe. The room was spacious with a kettle and hairdryer, cups etc. Very spacious and comfortable bed, clean sheets etc. The staff were very welcoming, even though there was a language barrier with some staff, it didnt matter. Breakfast was a choice of continental (omelette, sausage and 3 slices toast with butter and jam). Other choice was Maldivian (3 pancakes, coconut, tuna shreds and onion, omelette, sausage and a side plate of tuna in sauce). Orange juice provided as well. All was cooked lovely! No complaints at all even with 3 days to go, we had been doublebooked. Mohammad the manager, was really apologetic and gave great customer service by offering an upgrade of going to a nearby Bilimbi annex with all meals provided (we were bed and breakfast only). Smooth transition, no problem at all! One nice touch was free use of bicycles which helped getting to bikini beach in the lovely warm weather! Mohammad also arranged a snorkeling trip for us with Sea Shine - best trip ever! We swam with loads of sting rays and saw an abundance of shoals of different marine life! I enjoy taking underwater photos so I was in absolute heaven! Well done, The Bilimbi, Mohammad and the staff! Would highly recommend! 😀
