"Excellent breakfast buffet with a fantastic selection of food. Onsens are amazing! Both sides door and outdoor Onsens on site, plus a sauna and a cold plunge pool. Staff throughout the hotel from reception to dining room to housekeeping were very helpful. Delightful traditional Japanese hotel with lockers by reception to store outdoor shoes. Everyone goes barefoot or wears socks indoors. Centrally located across the road from Nara station."

"This was my favourite place we stayed on our trip so far. It was so quiet and peaceful both in the hostel and the neighbourhood. It’s about a 20 minute walk to get to Nara Park and you’re likely to run into some deer on your way there as they tend to come right into town in addition to hanging in the park. There are laundry facilities and a smoking area in the back garden. Rice porridge is served each morning and there are free and paid beverages available. There was no staff on site due to the financial repercussions of the pandemic, but the autonomous luggage storage and check-in instructions were easy to follow. I will definitely be returning in the future!"
