Castaways, time to relax

Castaways is a spacious, comfortable, well appointed ground floor apartment, located in the quiet little town of Iluka. The apartment is fully self-contained, in an attractive private garden setting. Walking distance to the shops, cafe's, parks and the river and close to all amenities. The beach is 3km away.
My husband and I do live upstairs at the property, so there may be some sounds, and while we are more than happy to assist and interact with guests, your privacy will be respected.

Fabulous apartment and gorgeous gardens!
We highly recommend Castaways as a well-located property in a beautiful area of Australia. Quiet and relaxing, close to necessary amenities, the beaches and the Clarence River, and superbly presented by the owners means that we are happy repeat visitors.

Deb and Neil's rental is a delightful experience, thanks to their exceptional hospitality. Their teamwork shines through in every aspect of the stay. From being picked up at the bus stop to the tastefully furnished and impeccably clean accommodations, every detail impressed me. As someone who values great deals, I must say this rental offers exceptional value, one of the best in my travels. Communication with Deb was seamless, and Neil's courtesy ride, especially during a sudden rainstorm, was much appreciated. The drive also included an engaging tour of the town, highlighted by fascinating facts like the nightly feeding of fruit bats, which added a unique touch to the experience. The home's craftsmanship is remarkable. Learning that Neil, a skilled carpenter, built the house added to my admiration. The high ceilings, approximately 10 ft, are particularly appealing, a notable feature in American real estate. The quality of materials, workmanship, and fixtures is evident throughout. The apartment’s décor strikes a perfect balance between rustic charm and modern elegance. Despite traveling alone, the two-bedroom unit felt cozy and offered great value. Pros (In Alphabetic Order): Artwork: Impressive, with personal stories behind each piece. Cove Mouldings: Exquisite, reminiscent of the beautifully crafted bed frame.
