"It is a cute place, be ready for a more rustic experience as far as bathrooms and washrooms go. The only thing I didn’t like is that it was a very flimsy lock, and we were the only ones on property for most the stay with spotty cell phone service. That part didn’t feel safe. If there were on site help or other campers around I think I would have felt more safe."
"This is our third and probably final trip to Sun Mountain Lodge. It’s still a beautiful location, food was ok, a bit expensive, but the real issue is the rooms. Outdated yes, but how about just some touch up paint and clean them? Our room looked like it had not been dusted in a week and the curtains were filthy. A quart of paint and some trim touch up would go along ways. Also, walking back from the lodge two nights to our room is almost suicide. There are lights close to the buildings, but zero on the road or path to the parking lot from the lodge, terrible! "
"We enjoyed our stay but wanted to share a few things of concern with you. 1. The cabinet as you walk in the corner is sharp, 2 of us hit our head on it.2. The fan in the living room, 1 - a lightbulb is burnt out. 2 - when we turned it on, it swung really bad, we we're afraid that it would fall down.3. The upstairs bathroom fan makes a lot of noise.Second story landing outside the door to the left is blinking. "
"The host was very available, if needed. The cabin was great. The beds were very comfortable, which is not always the case when we stay away from home. The house was well stocked with quality paper goods and plenty of pots & pans and utensils. We were very impressed on how clean everything was!! It wasn’t their fault that the snow was lousy. Mother Nature helped with that. We’ll definitely be back and hopefully be able to enjoy the ski trails close to the house at that time. Thanks for sharing your great little house!!"
Sleeping Wolf Studio w/ ski trail & river access, pool/hot tub
8/10 Good
"Clean, comfortable stay for the two of us and our pup for a long weekend of cross country skiing. The cabin is on the Methow Community Trail so we spent the mornings skiing and afternoons in the hot tub. The unit ‘kitchen’ was better equipped than we expected with a hot plate, pans, small fridge, microwave, knives, cutting boards, etc. so we had everything we needed to prepare lunches.
TV is pretty dated and DVDs are scratched to ‘unwatchable’ levels so plan to unplug. "
