  • This two-story A-frame promises a romantic getaway filled with peaceful relaxation. The spiral staircase leads up to the loft where you will experience the most spectacular view of the river and mountains. When the salmon are running you can watch the eagles swoop down and fly away with their catch. From exploring the riverbank to relaxing by the fire or soaking in the private hot tub, you are sure to enjoy your stay. Fully stocked and ready for your first time or return visit, this property accommodates 2 guests (queen upstairs) main level has cozy fireplace, and promises a memorable experience.

Incredible spot. We absolutely loved it. The hot-tub, river access, ambience, grill, comfy mattress, rad dvd/vhs selection...all of it was exactly what we hoped for and even exceeded our expectations. Amazing days on the water, we will definitely be going back. -For future travelers; I would ask the owners to explicitly say that cell service is spotty to non-existent. So if you need to get a hold of the hosts for any reason, travelers will need to drive 15 mins or so West or East to get cell service.

Fantastic location and privacy. It was probably really lovely about 15 years ago but could use some love, updates and elbow grease. Sadly, the hot tub never got above 91 degrees and without cell service or internet from the property, there was no easy way to remedy its issues.We left feeling relaxed and refreshed; it felt wonderfully remote for its proximity to town. The “commute” to the Lake Serene trailhead was ideal, so was soaking our tired hot feet in the river after the hike. A great place to get away.

This cabin is a little piece of heaven on Earth! It is secluded, peaceful and beautiful. The cabin is small but for 2 people it is perfect! It is very clean. The sheets and towels are soft and radiant white! There is everything you could need and more. The location is amazing, right on the river, all you hear is the water and the birds! We saw a couple of people on their kayaks passing once, but no other human interactions, unless we went to the store! Cell reception is poor but for me it was a plus! Can’t wait to go back!The only thing that could have made this stay even better, a couple of lounge chairs to sit outside. I Highly recommend this rental. It is even better than on the pictures!

this cozy little A-frame was a perfect escape from the bustle of the city. the view is breathtaking, the hot tub was toasty and the bed was comfy. We enjoyed watching the wide selection of VHS/DVDs by the fireplace. The little town of Index was cute and quaint, would absolutely come back. Sweetest hidden gem.

This cute little cabin was just what we needed to recharge from the hustle of the real world. Falling asleep to the sound of the river was peaceful. The hot tub over looking the river was enjoyable. Would definitely recommend. The Dvd and Vhs selection was way cool. We didnt need to get ahold of the owners during our stay but communication before hand was great. Directions to the place were easy. And or stay was very comfortable.

The room was so quaint and clean. It was a very intimate setting. The hot tub was amazing. The views were amazing. The only thing we wished was that the loveseat was a little bigger to stretch out for two of us.

A great stay near Index. This is our 3rd time to Index in the last couple of years. So amazing!The A-Frame was a great little spot right on the banks with easy access to the river. The cottage was cozy and small. The propane fire place definitely kept it warm inside. Great water pressure and having a water heater is always nice. The spiral staircase up to the loft can be a little tricky and tight. But manageable!Had a problem with the hot tub on the first day. Communication was super quick to resolve the issue. However, with our carrier and no WiFi. We had to head into town to communicate. Great stay. Would recommend!

This place was amazing. Easily one of the most relaxing places my wife and I have ever stayed. The access to the river is phenomenal, and the views from the hot tub were unbelievable. The listing is accurate and describes the property very well. The hosts were very responsive to our questions and ensured we had all the information we needed for our stay in a timely manner. Being able to sit on the river rocks, unplug, disconnect, and completely reset was exactly what we needed.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this cozy A-Frame cabin. The place was clean, warm, and very comfortable for a relaxing mountain getaway. The cabin feels private and peaceful, with beautiful views of the river — such a perfect spot to unwind.The hot tub was amazing, heated well, and made the evenings especially relaxing. We also loved how close the cabin is to hiking areas and ski spots — very convenient.The host was responsive and friendly, which made the whole stay smooth and stress-free.The only downside for us was that there is no internet/Wi-Fi at the cabin. It wasn’t a big issue, but it’s good for future guests to know in advance, especially if someone needs to stay connected.Overall, a wonderful experience, and we would definitely come back!

Had an amazing time with my partner. Definitely had our most memorable moments in Seattle here. Tips-Push laundry room door from the top of the door.-The heater’s on switch is on the back right.-Fold the pools cover in half then you can raise it.-The river was a good place to find sticks for hiking. (Smoothed out so no splinters)-The hike to Lake Serene goes from easy to hard after the waterfall, go early.
